leigh white
He's officially for the first time ever made Bolton Wanderers a worse football team than Wigan Athletic. Nowt like a bit of sporting rivalry to spur the team on against our pie eating neighbours.
smithills_gent
He's officially for the first time ever made Bolton Wanderers a worse football team than Wigan Athletic. How come we weren't worse than Wigan when we were a division below them under Phil Neal?
Baron Bartrum
He's officially for the first time ever made Bolton Wanderers a worse football team than Wigan Athletic. Not true, they were far better than us for a couple of seasons back in the glory days.
smithills_gent
Not true, they were far better than us for a couple of seasons back in the glory days. The season we beat them in the Freight Rover and the league they were miles better than us.They missed promotion by one point that season while we were down in the relegation battle. no balls
Not true, they were far better than us for a couple of seasons back in the glory days. They were in the same league though. I'd say starting the season in the division below is pretty much official.

Baron Bartrum
Not got a clue what your goin on about, can only assume you weren't around back then. They were in the same league though. no balls
Not got a clue what your goin on about, can only assume you weren't around back then. The clue I'm going on about is this season try looking for us in the same league as them, that being the one above us. They are now officially better than us. I wasn't referring to the past, though I have been watching us for a while, thanks. I think I may've read your post as in a couple of seasons back and not a couple of seasons back......and thought you were being facetious Edited August 4, 2012 by no balls

Destroying a decade of hard work and good management with his naive management of the club and media pleasing behaviour Just a minor point though, we did have a bit of a fuck up a few years ago when one of our managers destabilised the club by taking a number of the staff. Some people never get over their missguided opinions. misguided??? you avin a laugh? im far from being a coyle outer, very fasr in fact. ive stood by him through even his most idiotic ways. but the bloke has done what megson and bigsam couldnt do and taken us from the top 8 in the premiership to the championship. hes more stubborn than bigsam and megson put together. if it wasnt for the megson debacle,he would of been long gone by now. but keeping the faith is the only option to make going to the match enjoyable. Moderators Casino Posted August 4, 2012 Author Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2012 Aye, because he inherited a squad of over aged, high waged players that the previous man spunked millions on high waged players inherited from megson that he has sold off for a combined total of 19 million he's spent more than that replacing em anyway, i gave him credit for reducing the wage bill seeing as he's reduced our income even more dramatically it was probably imperative
