Moderators Carlos Posted August 5, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 5, 2012 My assumption is that someone who browses around the internet to find the best place to chat to fellow Bolton Wanderers fans may take the opinions of its moderators to give an idea of whether they would be welcome or not. This thread claimed to offer balance... it didn't... I'm REALLY giving it. Come on you Whites Still, you are suggesting we can't post whatever we like as it reflects on the site. It shouldn't. There are only so many Bolton supporters, I doubt many prople are unaware of the site after 10+ years. It is what it is. If people don't like it there are possibly other sites out there. We aren't going to change to accomodate them.

Arnold Jackson
Still, you are suggesting we can't post whatever we like as it reflects on the site. It shouldn't. Yes I do regret mentioning the moderator status to emphasise my objection to the points made at the start of this thread and I never intended to suggest anyone should feel obliged to have any particular view. As most who have contributed seem to agree that slagging off anything and everything Owen Coyles does at the moment is justified I fear it may be me who is embarrassing himself. But remember ... it takes Different Strokes to move the world... yes it does... it takes Different Strokes to move the world
no balls
As most who have contributed seem to agree that slagging off anything and everything Owen Coyles does at the moment is justified Really? There are a few on here who do get a little OTT with their criticism but that's a sweeping statement.

mickbrown
I doubt injuries will stop you moaning if we don't win.. Spot on. Every team gets injuries, it's part of the job having to deal with them. Just another aspect of the job he's not up to.
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted August 6, 2012 Site Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2012 There's are comedy value to the coyleout stuff though That didn't exist under megson. That was irrational hatred from where I was sat. Ok a few go ott sometimes, but i reckon 99% would be very happy if coyle succeeded. And so they should. Folk just saw megson as cancer. Which was pathetic. I'd thought we would be pushing for auto promotion but after seeing the shite in preseason I'm not sure we can even manage playoffs I sincerely hope I'm wrong. Moderators Horwich Posted August 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 7, 2012 What was coyles profit/loss on players last season? What was QPR's? The team that just beat us. We were always going to go down at some point. The club wanted to reduce the wage bill and started by letting our record signing leave for nothing. We lost our record signing, best defender and couldnt replace the £15m (?) loan signing striker who kept us up the season before. Been punching above our weight for many a season. It will come to all clubs at some point. At least we are not a portsmouth

smithills_gent
I'd thought we would be pushing for auto promotion but after seeing the shite in preseason I'm not sure we can even manage playoffs I sincerely hope I'm wrong. My suspicion is the club ie Eddie Davies isn't as desperate for promotion as many of the supporters are. It's a business to someone who paid £14 million for the club and the running costs are much less in the Championship as Phil Gartside boasted within a few days of relegation. smithills_gent
What was coyles profit/loss on players last season? What was QPR's? The team that just beat us. Bolton made a profit in the January window and QPR spent big.I saw the figure £20 million somewhere but can't confirm that. They were most certainly fielding a team with more highly paid, quality players in the second half of the season. captainmed
I liken it to Dennis Smith at Sunderland who continued to get the suppport of the fans after he got the team relegated and came out with the comment "I would die for these people" after losing at Man City. Its blind faith. There is no doubt that OC wants to succeed, and badly. There is also no doubt that he loves the club and the supporters who he always acknowledges on their travels. Unfortunately it would appear that he just simply isnt up to the job which is a shame really. We must have a strong steady start or i fear the worst for OC. smithills_gent
ED doesnt want part of the biggest top flight football tv revenue stream ever seen? i beg to differ...a lot The revenue stream and more all has to be spent on wages and fees to be competitive though. Not so in the Championship, we'll be getting what? £15 million or so more a year than Burnley, Forest and Derby the first three opponents for 3 years. GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard
William Hill ante post coupon, 4th issue has Wanderers as 6/1 favourites to win the Championship then Leicester,Wolves,Leeds,Dingles,Forest and Cardiff ranging from 7/1 down to 12/1. 2 things to note: 1 Somebody must be backing us down to that price and 2 You never see a dead donkey, a happy farmer or a poor bookie.
