Youri McAnespie Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Speaking of Delroy... Eleven different clubs, and a further four different clubs on loan. Still only 32 too, and without a club currently - worth a punt? Quote
The Wanderer Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 ricketts had just handed in his transfer request, wonder where he would be now if he had kept his head down and grafted. Quote
Traf Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 ricketts had just handed in his transfer request, wonder where he would be now if he had kept his head down and grafted. Queuing up at PoundBakery. Quote
Carlos Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Bulent Akin. When Fat Sam is ballooning about signing Eto'o and co, someone should ask him what the fuck the was all about. Quote
mickbrown Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 That's the game that Campo was converted from shit scary centre half to plastic bag tackling midfield genius. Quote
jayjayoghani Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 yeah remember Bobby Robson remarking how well he played Quote
tomski Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Bulent Akin. When Fat Sam is ballooning about signing Eto'o and co, someone should ask him what the fuck the was all about. wasn't it rumoured we signed the wrong bulent? Quote
Traf Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 wasn't it rumoured we signed the wrong bulent? Korkmaz Bulent Korkmaz. Quote
DazBob Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Was that the game where Shearer kept standing in front of Jussi, then appealed for time wasting ... and then bagged from the free-kick? Cunt. Quote
Carlos Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 wasn't it rumoured we signed the wrong bulent? I think me and Traf started that rumour. However, it's more plausible than we saw Akin Bulent and thought "he's the man". Was that the game where Shearer kept standing in front of Jussi, then appealed for time wasting ... and then bagged from the free-kick? Cunt. No. We lost that 3-2 I think. We were 2 down and got back to 2-2. Cheating bald prick, I'd love to stamp on his face. Quote

Guest bwfcdan Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Think this is the midweek game were Mendy missed a sitter from about 4 yard out late on, put it wide. Quote
DazBob Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 In fairness, Mendy was shit. But he was fast shit. Didn't Raymond Domeneche (sp?), who was then the French U-21 coach, go ape when he heard he was joining us. He described Bolton as "the arsehole of the universe" which was a tad harsh if not fair. Cheating bald prick, I'd love to stamp on his face. it was first season back in the PL - we went 1-0 and 2-1 up - southall and gardner - but despite being cunts, Shearer and Bellamy looked top class that day, everytime they went forward they looked like they'd score as for the 1-0 game 10 years ago, at the time, we'd only won 1 in 11 which was beating Newcastle on Boxing day Quote
paulhanley Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 That's the game that Campo was converted from shit scary centre half to plastic bag tackling midfield genius. Yep. It was a turning point that season as well. From there on we got better and stayed up..... assisted by Florent Laville signing on loan at the end of January. Quote

We built it up to a decent squad with average depth over the years and of late have clicked reset and ended up at square one. Edited January 22, 2013 by stevieb Quote
