ricketts had just handed in his transfer request, wonder where he would be now if he had kept his head down and grafted.

Queuing up at PoundBakery.

Bulent Akin. When Fat Sam is ballooning about signing Eto'o and co, someone should ask him what the fuck the was all about.

wasn't it rumoured we signed the wrong bulent?

Was that the game where Shearer kept standing in front of Jussi, then appealed for time wasting ... and then bagged from the free-kick?

Cunt.

I think me and Traf started that rumour. However, it's more plausible than we saw Akin Bulent and thought "he's the man".

No. We lost that 3-2 I think. We were 2 down and got back to 2-2. Cheating bald prick, I'd love to stamp on his face.

Sssshhhhh, mate!

That was a fact, not just something cooked up after too much ale. :D

Think this is the midweek game were Mendy missed a sitter from about 4 yard out late on, put it wide.

In fairness, Mendy was shit.

But he was fast shit.

Didn't Raymond Domeneche (sp?), who was then the French U-21 coach, go ape when he heard he was joining us. He described Bolton as "the arsehole of the universe" which was a tad harsh if not fair.

it was first season back in the PL - we went 1-0 and 2-1 up - southall and gardner - but despite being cunts, Shearer and Bellamy looked top class that day, everytime they went forward they looked like they'd score

as for the 1-0 game 10 years ago, at the time, we'd only won 1 in 11 which was beating Newcastle on Boxing day

That's the game that Campo was converted from shit scary centre half to plastic bag tackling midfield genius.

Yep. It was a turning point that season as well. From there on we got better and stayed up..... assisted by Florent Laville signing on loan at the end of January.

That is ace.

We had 5 or 6 top players and a load of guff filling the squad. We built it up to a decent squad with average depth over the years and of late have clicked reset and ended up at square one.
