You'd hope so, but not the case!

7,000 points gives you a 10% deduction off commission, so you now pay 4.5% instead of 5%.

Plus betfair take 15% off your tally every week.

Just been speaking to uncle nob head, he said he reckons u will be sick if you say the way I gamble!!! Ha

4th and final day looks a lot like this:

1.30 JCB Triumph Hurdle (4yo, Class 1, 2m 1f, 17 runners)

2.05 Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 1f, 28 runners)

2.40 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (4yo+, Class 1, 3m, 16 runners)

3.20 Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase (5yo+, Class 1, 3m 2f 110y, 11 runners)

4.00 CGA Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup (5yo+, Class 2, 3m 2f 110y, 24 runners)

4.40 Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (4yo+, Class 2, 2m 4f 110y, 24 runners)

5.15 Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Chase Challenge Cup (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 110y, 24 runners)

A nice easy finish for us punters with only 24 runners in each of the last three races!

It's possibly a little late in the day now, but yesterday served to remind us that backing favourites is usually not the best policy. The very short ones do tend to win, but those that aren't odds on don't.

At the Cheltenham Festival since 2005 to yesterday, only 7 out of 69 (-10.14%) favourites priced between evens and 6/1 have gone on to win, meaning you'd have lost 34pts backing them all = 49.28% of stakes.

The numbers for non-handicaps is slightly better, but still poor: 18/87 (20.69%) for a loss of 14.4pts (16.5% of stakes)

Overall: just 25/156 = 16.03%. This is less than half the figure favourites would normally achieve and a total loss of 48.4pts = 31% of your total stakes.

This year, Back In Focus won at 9/4, but

My Tent Or Yours was 2nd at 15/8

Colour Squadron was 5th at 9/2

Unioniste was 4th at 5/2

Pendra was 17th at 6/1

Dynaste was 2nd at 11/8

Sam Winner was 18th at 4/1

First Lieutenant was 2nd at 2/1

Oscar Whisky was Pulled up at 9/4

Ballynagour was 8th at 7/2

Super Duty was 2nd at 11/2

Arabella Boy was 7th at 9/4

The bookies might have been bleating after Wednesday, but they don't often lose at Cheltenham.

Didnt have time to input my horses yesterday but in short.

I got F all.

My account has lost writen straight through!

It was a tough day all round in fairness.

I made a small profit overall, but missed out on a 370/1 placepot, when Reve de Sivola failed to cling on to 3rd place, missing out by a nose!
