April 23, 201313 yr Author This is the closest, but it will be hammered It couldn't cope with 1200 away fans on a tuesday night in '02, so ain't gonna stand a chance this time. Anybody know the Turf Tavern? Looks like could be an alternative spot away from the crowds and spotlight
April 23, 201313 yr There was a good boozer, good for ales and cheap as fuck we spent most of Saturday night in. Problem is I can't remember the name. Ghana white, lenny with a y and danbwfc were there if they can remember?
April 23, 201313 yr Recently read Andy morrisons book GG. Quite a Plymouth legend in many ways is he not?? Got buggered in a park near the ground by two blokes as he walked home from a reserve game, aged 14. Explains a lot that does.
April 23, 201313 yr cemetery is a top pub, good choice of ales and food, also dog and partridge , a couple of minutes walk away, would be better in the town centre and taxi to the ground.

Got buggered in a park near the ground by two blokes as he walked home from a reserve game, aged 14. Explains a lot that does. I read his book, he's a fucking nutter who didn't let down wherever he went. Gave Eric Nixon a kicking though ha ha.
April 23, 201313 yr I read his book, he's a fucking nutter who didn't let down wherever he went. Gave Eric Nixon a kicking though ha ha. Haha he did! Absolute barm pot of the highest order that bloke. What about when that bloke gave him grief from the stand when was an assistant manager? He waited till their next home game and drove all the way there, slapped a wooly hat on and went incognito trying to find him! He spots him, follows him in the toilets, twats him and then hold him up by his throat till the poor fucker pisses himself! Haha fucking loon. Thing is throughout the book he blames his ale problems for all the violent episodes in his life, but when he stops drinking,he carries on twitting people all over the shop! Totall head case....they loved him round here alright. Edited April 23, 201313 yr by gonzo
April 23, 201313 yr Author Around the time Jock first got into Argyle 1st team we'd regularly walk from Home Park straight to the Barbican. Without fail Jock would already be in The Navy. Remember him charging up Union Street in the early hours with his shirt in tatters, looking like the Hulk.
