jules_darby
Really like a Barolo with a steak. Pretty heavy to drink on its own.Aye On it again tonight Had a Gerard Bertrand Pinot Noir with our evening meal, quite a change to this Should be the other way around if anything but “on site” one must do with what they serve in the restaurant and what we’ve brought as Xmas leftovers for when we get back Fuck it, it’s all wet

But....pre match nerves tonight There's some region of Italy with a disproportionately high number of octogenarians. Thought to be connected to the fact it's a red wine producing area. Not sure how much they drink, but there's got to be a balance. A small glass of red of an evening is possibly worth losing a year of your life for. I’d much rather enjoy a decent red whilst I’m compos mentis, than being teetotal or living to unproven guidelines for an extra year or two shatting and pissing myself. Just hoping one day to get off these meds (or at least get them down) and maybe enjoy a glass again.Well over 2 years now, and although I don't miss it most of the time, sometimes I really fancy one. Youri McAnespie
They're doing 25% off any 6+ bottles on a limited range of plonks at Asda... Bringing down half-decent Prosecco down to shit Prosecco price (to appease one's womenfolk). They're also doing their bi-annual 'make the UK alcoholic' three boxes of lager/cider for £21 deal... Including Strongbow Justins (to appease one's more easily appeased womenfolk). #suppingbyproxy Edited July 5, 2019 by Youri McAnespie
