I have. Decent enough first effort from a promising young writer.

Late 20's me says thank you 😘

It's self-published, I'm most definitely an amateur writer and it really does badly need another revisit and edit but it was of a time and place so would be quite hard for me to go back and put myself there again.

I can definitely at least console myself with it being by far not the worst self-published stuff I've read through Kindle. I'll always give amateur writers' stuff a try if it's in my area of interest (and some have been incredible reads) but fucking hell...

I've bought your book mate and passed the details on to some of my mates (Bolton fans) you should advertise it more, always good to see a fellow Wanderer doing stuff like this

Oh cheers mate much appreciated! Hope you all enjoy it, as I say it's definitely rough around the edges and some of it I'd have written differently if doing it again 10+ years later but see what you think.

Already even after such a relatively short time it's a case of spot the lost pub, half the places mentioned in it have gone!

Can’t see why you’d go into Asda, rather than Tescos, on the way to the Brazley Estate 😀

I've got Mick Herron (Slow Horses) when I go away over xmas, Mark Dawson, Stuart MacBride, Mark Billingham are all decent IMO.

I've read the 1st 3 in the series. Loved em, fortunately the TV series is doing them justice too.

Really pleased you both enjoyed it, thank you and I'm glad it brought back some memories of that season!

Originally only ever wrote it for myself to read when I'm old and decrepit to bring back some memories (as you can probably tell in parts) but then I thought maybe others would want to read about Diouf's goal against Atletico or Stelios at Spurs again too. Really appreciate you reading it 😃

The bearded woman cracks me up every time.

Tell me it didn’t happpen…

Unfortunately so, actually edited some of it out too.

Currently reading "First Light" by Geoffrey Wellum, he ended up flying Spitfires in the Battle of Britain at 19 years old.

Incredible story, and saw some brutal things during those dogfights. Then retire for a few pints in the village inn and go back to do it all again the following morning.
