Garrp Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Dunno if the previous thread was deleted or had its name changed but can't find it. Anyway, some more to wind up a few on here. From what I can see, in their first pre seaosn game against Columbus Crew, it looks like he started the game with three right backs Quote

SatanGreavsie Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Why Have I got Norwich away in my head Cup game Elliott scored, right foot How the fuck do you lot remember these things? Seriously. I've no idea what I did last week never mind the scorers from ages ago. I can remember stuff from the 70s - but only the stuff that stands out e.g. Frankie's goal and argy bargy in the Paddock etc. But I might have been - in fact will have been - at QPR or someone away midweek in the 90s and have no idea what happened. For example, I was at the league cup 2nd leg away at Wimbledon in 1992. Now I do remember there were fuck all there, and a quick look at the stats site tells us it was the grand total of 1,987. But the fact we won it by a Philliskirk goal is utterly lost to me. But there'd be fuckers on here who'd describe it in loving detail. It's beyond me, it really is. Quote

Bolton's mob of 100's chose to watch it in the pub near the tennis club. We played in our change kit of black stockings and matching suspenders. Philliskirk was defending at the time, received the ball, beat 4 Wombles, did a 1-2 with Reeves, nutmegged the ref and linesman, shimmied past the goalie(Dickie Guy) then got on his knees and nodded the ball in from 30yards,sending the 10,000 Whites home happy. The 3 specials were delayed by 4 hours due to The Wimbledon Whackers ambushing them. HTH Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Slightly off topic. Just seen this on facebook. Wasn't aware that the Pie-Eaters thought so "highly" of us? Wasn't really aware we were "big" enough to warrant this kind of hating tbh. Quote
