jules_darby
Clubs know Chungy is a very good player regardless of how he's playing for us, these people are not fools, as his transfer value drops he becomes a desirable option for a premier league club and he gets to negotiate a better salary, I might be barking up the wrong tree but his advisors/agents been hawking him around and it's easier to sell the cheaper he is. I agree we should be close to a top 6 finish, the early fixtures not been kind, look at Burnleys fixtures much kinder. Mate that's just not going to happen. I understand the logic, but DF and co would spot it a mile off. Wouldn't surprise me if he wants a move but I think he's trying; he's just largely ineffective
Marc505
Rome wasn't built in a day, and it certainly wasn't built on a budget of fourpence. lets all calm the fuck down and be realistic. DF needs longer than a year to get the team challenging. we do have some of the worst (and scruffiest) fans in England. Old Trafford is a mere 15 minute drive away for the morbidly impatient. Youre not wrong. Wish I had my camera ready, saw a lad turn up in that away kit, with matching coloured tights yesterday. Tights!
Arnold Jackson
It's a bit unfair to be comparing DF to Billy Davies. The latter is a proven manager with many years experience and success wherever he has gone. Which ever club has taken him must be backing him with money otherwise he would not be there. Lets all be honest about it and admit that as encouraging/discouraging things have been so far under Dougie (depends on how you view a cup containing 50% liquid) ... he's only just started out and may turn out to be a World Beater or Hopeless I don't believe the hype and I also don't expect a team to win many games with free transfers/low wages no matter who is at the helm! hughmungus
OK I have calmed down a bit now, and read the comments of the other good folk on here, but the problem persists in that we have had defensive problems since Megsons days, Coyle failed to deal with it even when he had Cahill and DF has not yet solved it despite also having the chance to use Dawson. If we are going to get out of this league it has to be done on not conceding daft goals, we can play all the pretty one two football we like but if we are 3-0 down its doesnt make a jot of difference. I expect, not hope, that someone is now on the phone to WBA doing a deal as well as looking to get rid of Knight asap. Sadly, even if Dawson does come in, I don't see Knight going anywhere. He's here to stay I fear.

bwfcfan5
Sorry to disappoint but Craig Dawson wants to stay in the premiership. Only chance of getting him is if he doesn't play for West Brom after the window shuts on a loan deal. Now he wants premiership football. Can't blame him. It's not like we're playing Chelsea, City, Man U then Arsenal. We could probably turn every team over in this league on the day. Thing is every team is capable of turning us over too. Think DF is showing his squad up for what it is, lightweight. Probably hoping Eddie will loosen his purse strings. Better this type of result happening three games in than mid season. ex_midlandwhite
Forest have signed very well, not the expensive ones that Dougie bemoaned but Lichaij, Hobbs and Mackie were excellent yesterday and cost c£1m in total? Thought they were decent but other than a silly first goal we matched them in the first half. We are still getting destroyed down our flanks though, a lot again down our left yesterday, this really needs fixing somehow. Burnley and now Forest games their right sided players are picking up MOTM. I still think we will be knocking around challenging for the top 6 but Forest have stolen a march this summer and look like they could challenge with Watford, QPR and Reading right at the top. captainmed
Yesterday was a farce. Davies was available when we got DF. We have problems. And I'm not going for that Ngog felt ill bullshit neither. Anyone who makes excuses for yesterday either wasn't there or is deluded.

Guest bwfcdan
Sorry to disappoint but Craig Dawson wants to stay in the premiership. He ain't good enough for the Premiership, no pace at all. That said, he'd definitely be one of the better defenders in the Championship, as seen last season. I really hope we can get him in.

ianovit
Sobered up enough to post. Not many pluses - excellent pubs and ale in Nottingham made hugely welcome by the locals. First half performance ok kept possession well but lacked penetration. Always gonna struggle against a competent side once Zat Knightmare had dropped his customary almighty bollock. I cannot understand why he is picked let alone be appointed captain. He is fuckin useless. I would move Baptiste to CB and drop the cunt. ianovit
Clearly not fully sober yet - pressed send by accident before I had finished my post. Thought Craig Davies gave a good account of himself and is a better option than Beckford if we are playing only one up front. I fear for us if Spearing is our best option on free kicks. I appreciate Eagles is out currently and Marcos Alonso long gone but Jays delivery was awful. Love his endeavour but he really ought not be on free kicks. CYL needs to be rested (yes I am aware we are only a few games in)but his body language speaks volumes. He was so upset with himself for shitting out of a challenge he kicked the lad out of frustration. Worst bit was getting mithered to death by two pissed up absolute dick head Everton fans on train coming home.then finding train to Bolton cancelled. Obviously forced to drink more ale.
