Ian Wright when he scored his record breaking goal for Arsenal against us at Highbury. We even took the lead but we lost 4-1 and he looked like he was going to score every time he got the ball.

 

George Best for Fulham against us at Burnden. We won 2-1 and he scored for them. He looked a class above anyone else on the pitch.

I remember Steve Perryman, ex-Spurs, playing for Brentford when we were at theirs in the late 80s. Not only was he too good for us, he was too good for them!

no way were you, at a ground with a pub on every corner, sober enough to know your own name let alone how anybody played
