MalcolmW Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 On the other hand, Germany will never win anything. They clearly don't understand modern football. Go 1-0 up, and defend your lead. Simples. What's all this going for more goals malarkey. Madness, I tell thi'. They might have peaked a game too soon. On the other hand they were playing a one touch practice game for 70 minutes.
itdiddidit? Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 didn't we win the second half at notts county that time in the cup? germans very dignified in their victory although too much celebrating probably not the best idea in a country of 200 million footie mad fans
HR Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Mourinho will be drinking more champagne than Bradley Wiggins and Kevin Pieterson this week.
bgoefc Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 This is like the Nazis sweeping through Europe in 1940/1, wait until they meet some proper opposition. The Dutch!
pato Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 would love to be in Brazil with my Bolton shirt "Let me teach you the song of my people" " Booooooo, your shit"
Marc505 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Unbelievable result, easily the most shocking result Ive ever seen considering the magnitude of the game. If theres any crumb of comfort for Brazillian fans, at least it wasn't Argentina in the final doing that to them. Loved this tournament, been a great competition of for the most part average teams, shown up brutally here.
Rembrandt Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 They might have peaked a game too soon. On the other hand they were playing a one touch practice game for 70 minutes. Yeah, crossed my mind too, Malcolm. Football's like that.
Moderators Zico Posted July 9, 2014 Moderators Posted July 9, 2014 I don't think Germany peaked, Brazil did most of their work for them Handing out a good bumming didn't do the Dutch any harm in their first game either
gonzo Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Some cracking headlines today... "Das Booted" being my favourite

If theres any crumb of comfort for Brazillian fans, at least it wasn't Argentina in the final doing that to them. Loved this tournament, been a great competition of for the most part average teams, shown up brutally here. But it could happen in the third place play-off. (It may be a rough match too.)
COYW Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Scolari well and truly exposed last night. Two of his better players missing and he just sends out a team with no plan, structure or tactics to combat the opposition. Maybe he just bought into the hype that they were destined to win it regardless of how bad they were. I bet Chile and Columbia are regretting bottling it against them now, they were there for the taking all tournament.
COYW Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 will webb get the final if its all european Not if Holland are in it, as there will be a conflict of interests.
gonzo Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 He did the final in 2010 and booked a million players and sent a dutcher off. That and he likes drugs and prostitutes. And wears cloggs around the house with a bunch of tulips shoved up his arse.

Moderators Carlos Posted July 9, 2014 Moderators Posted July 9, 2014 Just noticed my Shed 7 Brazil t-shirt has a massive 7 on the back. Lolz.
jayjayoghani Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 He did the final in 2010 and booked a million players and sent a dutcher off. he was arguably too lenient
gonzo Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Last time I saw a Brazilian face that many shots he was jumping a ticket barrier at Stockwell.
Whites man Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Scolari well and truly exposed last night. Two of his better players missing and he just sends out a team with no plan, structure or tactics to combat the opposition. The similarities with the Stoke semi final are uncanny.
