Johnny Byrom
I understand that the Whites have agreed a deal with Crewe for their want-away striker Max Clayton. Was wondering if anyone knew much about the lad apart from: He is 20 years old; He has represented England from the U16s upwards. His middle name is James Lets hope Dougie puts him straight in, Rather than a dozen games in the Development squad.

Lesbian Keith
I think Clayton will be a good signing for this league, struggle to understand why C.Davies was dropped after winning player of the month. Him and Davies could work well I feel. Not prolific at Crewe but he is still developing and could become useful for last bit of season

waffer cup 07
Will he be able to get on the end of a 60yard aerial bombardment from the defence and score 30 goals this season. jules_darby
Let's give the lad a chance. One assumes that is aimed where it should be; at Dougie the clown, and not at the support

Members burnden
Crewe paper saying 300k compensation , substantial add ons for appearances and a sell on clause.
Guest Blixa
scored 9 goals in 74 games in league 2 and league 1 The Juke scored 12 in 65 for Boro and he is allegedly the greatest striker we've ever had. Or something. And he's got more years on the clock.
kent_white
Supposed to be decent. Lots of big clubs sniffing around him. I'm more than happy if it comes off..
ianofcleveleys
Potentially a good investment that, if handled right, could end up making us good money in the future. Would be great if he turned into a real talent for us, our own Jordan Rhodes maybe, though whether he'll be handled right by the current regime is another matter and can't see him being the swift answer to our really pressing goalscoring problems Edited September 14, 2014 by ianofrochdale

jules_darby
but can he play right back ?We had a right back last season that was stitched up by playing left back And a left back he likes to stitch up this season by playing right back And 2 young right backs...errm..somewhere ???????????? nice one Douglas
nantwichwhite
I know lots of Crewe fans and they all think the Championship is a big step up for him. If he is one for the future we need someone right now. Also, will he just be another player in the way of Wilkinson, Clough, Illiev and Thomas. Although he might be considered a better prospect than these, time will tell I suppose.

jagermoot
He will end up in the development squad until we all forget about him and then when he leaves on a free, we will all wonder what happened to him just as he scores 3 on his debut for his new club and becomes the other clubs top goal scorer. Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted September 15, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted September 15, 2014 Well considering that Crewe ripped us a new arsehole (possession/passion/determination levels), and he is/was one of their leading lights, I'd have him all day long.. That is all
