jules_darby
Fuck Billy Davies. He was worshipped at Forest and couldn't even do a decent job there
BWFC_LOVE
Not against Jimmy Phillips, though that'll only give the fans firepower to slate the board for taking a 'cheap' option should it not work out. Chris Hughton has had two very good seasons managing at this level.

ex_midlandwhite
Chris Hughton, or push the boat out for Roberto Di Matteo. Or Ferguson. He must be ready for a new challenge now. It would show a real lack Iack of ambition to not appoint a champs lge winner when at least two are available

Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted September 27, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted September 27, 2014 What has being worshipped got to do with it? I'm trying to be realistic as to who we could attract & who has a decent record...For me Davies has a pretty decent C.V....even if he is a bit of a cunt. COYW
Billy Davies spent an absolute fortune in his second spell at Forest and failed to even make the play-offs.

He had a lot of backing and was a crowd favourite, but even they got sick of him when he did a bad job  It has a lot to do with it  Jesus wept
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted September 27, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted September 27, 2014 Behave Jules, just because a set of fans like you it doesn't make you a better or worse manager...Owen Coyle anyone? Hammers fans have no time for Big Sam but he does a good a job as any pound for pound.

ex_midlandwhite
WTF are you on about? Managers out of work may just like the challenge. Aye, til they hear the answer to the question what is the budget! Reckon that's why Freedman won't be sacked

jules_darby
In isolation I agree that it was...my point being that the fact he was worshipped had no bearing on itI'd say it has a minor effect but we're splitting hairs  Fans' backing can help and I think if there is an affinity can certainly buy the Manager more time  Owners do sometimes react to the crowd if not always
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted September 27, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted September 27, 2014 I totally agree on those points. My biggest worry is that with Gartsides track record Felix Magath will be next in!
