Pablo
Not sure how they work it out, but I know Chelsea paid city £5 million for Sturridge. Spurs paid a fortune for some kid from Palace who has since left them. Protects the smaller clubs, but the loop-hole is outside England. Inter could make a nice couple of Million on this deal, and not even want the player.
Pablo
We will pay £1.5 million for Luke Garbutt, who is now in our first team squad.
Pablo
Liverpool will pay £5 million for Sterling, £3 Million for Jordan Ibe, and another £3million for some Spanish kid at Valencia I think.

Moderators Casino Posted May 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) You would have to ask the smaller clubs' fans what they prefer - a day out to see their club at Wembley, or a trip to a nearer but duller stadium. My bet is they'd want Wembley. I wouldn't judge non-league football by the standard of 1 or 2 League play-off games. Play-offs are notoriously tight, edgy & nervous, with the odd exception. Try non-league during the season when not going to Whites games (for whatever reason) and see. I've seen some great football, though I make some allowance for them being part-time, How any Whites fan can criticise non-league standards when they've been watching the Wanderers' professionals for the last 4 seasons is pots & kettles big time. aye, youre reet non league football in lancashire is full of players better than those playing in the premier league or some look good cos theyre generally playing against far poorer players than you'd find in our league that game yesterday was dreadful doesn't stop it being exciting, granted, though it wasn't even that and you couldnt even have a smoke Edited May 27, 2014 by Casino

frank_spencer
He's fucking awful Awful is being polite, he offers no insight into he game. He's no knowledge of anyone outside the premier league, Souness regualrly tears him apart for it on champions league games, he even did on the build up for the final. The quality Red Nev and Scouse Jamie (despite english clearly being his second language) have brought to the punditry on sky has made Redknapp look even more clueless. Spouting cliches and true because everyone says it bollocks might be ok on appealing to mass market coverage on the BBC and ITV but on a specialist sports channel it's not good enough. MalcolmW
When JR was playing for Liverpool, 'Arry was unable to watch most matches because of his own commitments. So 'Arry's dad (who had played alongside Tommy Docherty in his Army days) used to go regularly to Jamie's matches. He always arrived with 3 meat pies - 1 for himself, 1 for Jamie, and 1 for McManaman, who he thought looked underfed.
