Thoroughly disappointing evening, Tone was set with a gay wedding on the pitch before the game. I think one of them was called Albert and the other Fred - both bints proudly in their DMB shirts with bingo wings waving gently in the breeze.

First half boring as bat shit 0-0 with the Glory putting on a stout defensive display with only around 2 breakaway forays into the filths half.

Pogba, Mata and Rashford on for second half which meant even more possession for the red bastards and an inevitable couple of goals. Have to say Rashfords finish for the first goal was class but that's the only good word they are getting from me.

50,000 on so not a sellout like Wednesday game is (sold out the 65,000 or whatever the capacity is in 35 minutes. Plenty of Leeds fans will be there we hear). Come on Dirty Leeds.

Crowd last night made up of about 10,000 Glory supporters, 10,000 assorted, around 30,000 orientals in their replica shirts, a few turbanators plus Albert and Fred.

Free tickets and I still felt we'd been had.

Don't tell us you're joining the 'ooh, we're so right-wing' whingers' clique, stevieB?

I'm disappointed in that I always thought Bolty was a the 'if they were playing at the bottom of my garden I'd close the curtains' (the scum, not Fred and whoever) persuasion.

And praise is still praise, however reluctant.

You should have instead provided a constant one-man chant of 'Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!' for the whole match or until you were forcibly ejected.

Good job I don't give a flying about your opinion then eh? Premier Club armchairs sat with Perth's glitterati for free? Not turning that down especially with the opportunity to take the missus and daughter along and score plenty of brownie points. The complimentary nibbles were superb - especially the suckling pig and the Queensland banana prawns.

Was hoping to witness an upset - unfortunately not to be. We did have one oriental gentleman in a filth shirt sat two rows behind us who insisted on calling out the DMB players surnames at the top of his lungs each time one touched the ball. It only took one death stare to shut the fucker up - about 5 minutes into the game.

I hear they were paid plenty to play in Perth. Fear not, they did not get one cent of my hard earned - wouldn't have gone but for the freebie.

I'm saving up for a more worthwhile cause. the "Free Tommy" fund.

How many have Leeds taken?

I read 5,500 have gone

tweet below shows them queing to watch them train

can't knock it really, but Leeds seem absoultely determined these days to be able to say "Leeds would've took more" whenever an impressive following is being discussed

Hearing rumours it's all kicked off today at this place:-

https://www.thebrassmonkey.com.au/patriots-sports-bar

I'll be watching the local news tonight to see if there's any truth in it.

One lad I know here (a DMB from Leeds!) tells me that he's hosting a get together of his old Service Crew mates and has a coach with 53 of em on it going to the game tomorrow. Reckons they've just come down here for a chance to "get at em" with policing possibly being less than the experienced English variety. They might be in for a shock if the Perth TRG are on duty.

I can already see the "English thugs" headlines.

😊

It's true that Leeds haven't  had a go in Manchester since the early 1980s.You will find several Leeds v Man Utd battles on youtube but nothing in Manchester. They even hid behind the police at the League Cup semi final in 90/91 when they had thousands of tickets.

The following season Leeds drew Man Utd in the League Cup in an earlier round, this match goes down in Manchester folklore.United were only given 900 tickets due to ground redevelopments at Elland Rd so it would have been easy not to bother but as it was a 130 strong Man Utd firm met up  in cars at Hartshead Moor services. The quality of the firm was immense, no other club could pull it, no kids just boxers, bouncers, Salford gangsters, ex cons and the like.Leeds knew Man Utd were going and when the cars had  parked up on a council estate near Elland Road, Leeds had 500 plus out as they always do at home for Man Utd.The logistics were that Man Utd were at the top of a hill, Leeds at the bottom of the road, the 130 had got into Leeds unpoliced and broke into a jog going at Leeds.Leeds shit themselves, did an about turn and ran. When they ran, United stopped and just stood there laughing at them, 130 had run their firm in Leeds.A few minutes later Leeds came back, they had clocked their huge numerical advantage and charged.United went into them and what followed was a 10 minute wild west street brawl, the 130 weren't going anywhere and stood their ground. The police eventually arrived and escorted the 130 to the ground where they got a huge ovation from the away end because word had filtered through about what had gone on.

Through painful experience, Leeds know the quality Man Utd have and that  the numbers waiting for them would be tenfold in Manchester which is why they drink in Stalybridge.

If that’s their sole reason for travelling to the other side of the world then it’s just a bit sad really.
