Come on it’s top they took 1700 to tranmere Saturday

Plymouth’s is excellent but Salford will be a popular place for most

Lots of "new ground" trippers on this one in case their bankrolling is stopped and they disappear back to have derby with other spawn of the rags.

Salford will end up more Yeovil than Accrington and back in N.L within a few years. They are a shit club with no tradition and that ultimately makes it difficult to keep fans long term

Can't see that, they will be in championship with in 5 years. They will just keep throwing money at it

Wigan are a non league club that must have had around 20 seasons in the top two divisions now thanks to Dave Whelan, there's no reason Salford can't do that if the money is put in.

Going off recent attendances Wigan now seem to have about 3,000 less fans than Blackburn for all the latter's history

Course Wigan are a small club but you cant compare Wigan with Salford for history/crowds.  In the 60s and 70s Wigan were a non league "giant" and regularly got crowds above 5,000 especially in FA Cup ties.  They won the league many times and applied for election to the league 34 times!  So when they got elected to replace Southport,  it wasnt a surprise, and they averaged 6,700 in their first season. Until 3 years ago Salford were no bigger than Athy Colls, they'd never got near the top non league divisions.  Literally bought their place in the conference never mind the league.  They'll never get regular home crowds above 4k whatever they do outside the Prem.
