ESL was American arrogance taking over and they got it wrong.
They can’t have it both ways. The glazers are a business empire, that’s how they run the club, it’s why they’re on the stock market, they don’t make the money from ticket sales they make it from shares, sponsorships and corporate deals. Man United have been a global corporation before the glazers, the fans don’t like their business model but they’re quiet about  them when they’re winning things.

They were top of the league early this season, no glazer protests then.

Some fans won't care, some will, i know a few who have fucked it off due to ticket policies, i know another with a corporate ST

Again, don't get me wrong, they do well out of their owners on the pitch but their owners do take the piss, so eventually some will say fuck this and kick off like yesterday

Don't blame them

City wouldn't protest because they were nothing, relatively speaking, before their owners came along

But the original point was, very few were moaning when KA got us promoted and kept us up, but it didn't mean the fans didn't have the right to protest at the west brom game for example

Most clubs can only dream of winning what they have in the last 13 years. They’re 2nd in the league and as good as through to a European final. They’re fkin deluded bell ends

This

thats why I will never stop hating those bastards.

Media in this country are awful and should be demanding sanctions against the filth for not providing enough security.

They've enjoyed the bragging rights from the investment though. no way would they have paid 80 mill for a tortoise without the Glazers

Without the Glazers jumping onto the bandwagon, started by sky, the money levels would have been lower. Therefore they wouldn't have needed to spend £80m on a player. It's all relative: more money in means more money out in stupid transfer fees and wages.

The likes of Burnley and Sheffield utd can now thrown a fair wedge at an average player, but that's because they have to.

Take that money from the game, and Utd will still top the spending charts because they have amongst the biggest gate income.

In fact it could make it more difficult for others to compete financially, and maybe that's partly what they want.

Aye

And to clear

Fuck em

Like most protests it won't make a difference

Any new owners would have to stump up big money to buy Utd and would more than likely want a return

This is how it is now, too far gone to start yearning for the German ownership model

Still not to see any Massives protest. A team that was recently losing to Macclesfield in the European Super League. OK then.

Aye, plus it conflicts there previous stance that UEFA has got it in for them and booing the CL anthem and all that

There were fans and banners outside the etihad like with others.

Fans interviewed too.

Not sure you have to break into your own ground and attack folk to make a point.

Also, their owners have don't things very differently and there is likely a great deal more appreciation of them (ESL apart) amongst city fans than amongst fans of other clubs.

No I have never heard of them

Top team in NI between the wars and last won Irish League title in 1947-48.

Withdrew from the league in 1949 (players having been attacked by Linfield fans on the pitch in their Boxing Day encounter). Went on a 10 game tour of North America in spring 1949, then sold all the players and wound up the club.

I think Chelsea and City fans are fine as their owners have big pockets and don't seem to want it back

Utd board want some return, and that comes above all else

As do Liverpool's but they get off without major protest because they got a PL and CL recently

Spurs and Arsenal just want to be relevant, so their fans would've reluctantly accepted it but pretend they hated it

Just heard United got a penalty on Sunday

PGMOL, headed by Mike Riley has assured them it won’t be wasted. They can use it during the rearranged game.
