Sutton and Savage said on 606 he should do the decent thing and walkĀ

A caller reckoned he's on 230k a monthĀ

No way he's walking

Like they would. Of course.

If that is anywhere near his weekly wage, in a now money-bags club and, I'm assuming, a 12m rolling contract ongoing ... that's Ā£12m alone.

Why on God's Earth would he walk.

He spent his first dozen years in management walking out of contracts to go to better ones. I used to say "he treats contracts like most people treat Andrex". Money talks. This will probably be his final serious one, before he begins a Zero Hours media contract where he comes onto our TV's mangling the English language.

Would that pair of plonkers who incidentally have managed who between them? walk away from the millions of pounds Bruce will get if he is sacked as opposed to quitting?

Aye, it was a bit odd, they were talking like he's dragging the club down by staying when we all know he's getting sacked in the morning anyway

So sack him

aint like theyā€™re brassic

This is one occasion where the owners should have sacked him as soon as the take over was completed even without a replacement ready. would have made them look decisive. everyone knows thatĀ  they are going to have to pay him off anyway. Unless the new owners decide to send him to the Saudi embassy and save themselves the money.

The media and Newcastle fans sounding hysterical again with that impending Bruce doom bollocks. They've played 8 games! a few points off safety and are not a better team than Spurs. They also finished 12 last season.

He'll be gone soon enough and he'll be tapped if he walks away from that money given how he's been treated by thoseĀ  deluded thick fuckers up there

The takeover only happened 11 days agoĀ šŸ˜‚

... though it makes them look very odd either way. It's not like it was a surprise purchase was it ?

Apparently they've made a statement saying "we will only recruit someone not currently under contract".

What are Pulis, or Holloway doing right now ? Or teeing up 'The Return of Big Sam !!"

there's no point in sacking Bruce and going getting someone like Eddie Howe, as in, they have to sack Bruce, but if they are serious, they have to really try and break the bank for someone like Conte or Zidane

they'll probably end up with Lampard

Oh thatā€™s understandable then

It is indeed.

A strange day in a way though, they were clearly under prepared (Wembley staff etc) but there was a much bigger issue throughout the city with dick heads everywhere, which they can't be held responsible for.

We saw crowds on England fans cheering as they threw bottles at each other, like a badge of honour.Ā

Don't really deserve to hold a world Cup, even if overall I think the organisation would be good.Ā

Agree entirely.

We lost the right to expect to be awarded a World Cup through sheer disorganisation and under preparedness .... despite, really, being very capable of running one. We only ever get these things when something's gone tits-up with Plan A. The authorities preference to reject us got quite the boost on that day.

The fuckwits who rampaged in London, most especially the semi-organised pricks who burst into Wembley & then terrified real ticket holders, many who were handicapped, and refused to exit made a mockery of our (dis)organisation on that day.

Iā€™m still convinced that none of it would have happened if there had been a full capacity crowd allowed. Folk knew a lot of resources would be focused on checking Covid passes etc and if they made a go of it then there would have been plenty of spare seats once they got in to the stadium.

Thatā€™s absolutely not excusing their behaviour, nor is it a criticism that crowds needed to be restricted at the time, it was just an accident of circumstances that created the whole thing.Ā

Take your point, especially that if they knew there were no seats free they'd not have decided they could get in.

However, at ground level, it was an arrogant mob mentality filled with drink, drugs and an "rules don't apply to me" attitude which created it.
