Much of the issue, however, was the wording of the EPL statement which cites “Covid, other illness and injuries”  Radio Lancs were arguing that the other illnesses and injuries should play no part in the decision.

Clearly, redio lancs are chatting shit

The statement in full read...

Due to more positive cases in the Aston Villa squad today, the Premier League Board has regrettably had to postpone the club’s home fixture against Burnley, due to kick off at 15:00 GMT this afternoon.

After reviewing all the new information provided by Villa this morning and receiving separate medical advice, the Board approved the request as a result of the club not having enough players to field a team.

This decision was based on the number of COVID-19 cases, injuries and illness.

The League understands the decision to postpone the match at such short notice will frustrate and disappoint supporters, and apologises for the inconvenience and disruption caused.

The remaining four Premier League matches due to be played this weekend are currently scheduled to proceed as planned.

The Board assesses applications to postpone matches on a case-by-case basis, based on existing rules and COVID-19 postponement guidance issued to all clubs.

They aren't testing daily like in England.  Scots Prem have to test daily from Monday so currently don't have to, no idea if they're testing voluntarily though.

The Scots lower leagues are arguably the equivalent of our non leagues below the national league, probably don't have the funds for testing.

So stop testing in England then.

Not as nice as if Burnley and Newcastle go down (for me).  If we assume Norwich are going, hope Leeds don't keep one of the others up.

Agreed! Cant stand Burnley, and send the richest club in the world ( supposedly) down as well!

Just like any other manager, when it's going well his methods look great. Means absolutely nowt when results turn though.

All that bollocks about murder ball and ultra fit players. Manager sitting on a bin etc. Rubbish.

Doesn't need that interpreter, either!

Fans seem to be right behind him though. Singing his name at 1-4 down. They really do look like a prem version of us. Bit like IE he’s got plenty of credit in the bank despite some current troubling times.
