Dr. Feelgood
I can't begin to imagine how much Everton have spent in contractual arrangements, post dismissals, in recent years. Manager & their teams. Â Anyway, I assume they'll be going back to Sam, cap in hand, apologising & asking him to return.

Except the various authorities aren't in charge any more are they ? The giant clubs piss all over anyone they wish. The Euro Super League idea will return. We all know it. Next time better organised. What happens if a side at the bottom is now made to play but the teams around them got a week off. Nah they set the precedent without thinking things through as per usual. It’ll come to bite them in the arse when they’re asked to play 3 times in a week

Perhaps, but he has a reputation for long ball football; a tad unfair, as was the label for big Sam, but such baggage would make him a target for the boo boys before he'd even started.

I listened to the post match discussion about Everton on radio 4 yesterday. Can't remember which ex-player it was, but I was gobsmacked at how condemnatory he was of Benitez. He said (having obviously played for him) that the Spaniard was horrible to play for, a cold man who didn't talk to players and has no man management skills. Even the presenter was taken aback.
