It needed some updating from the old Revie inspired straight line interpretation but they've fckd it up time & time again. Every time it's rewritten to be clearer it gets more murky. Add VAR to that & the failure to use the "clear & obvious error" principle and the game is rapidly disappearing up it's own fubndament. Because he then starts running from further back plus he's lost momentum, this then prevents him from catching the through ball, of course it should have been disallowed.
