I think they've appointed another ex Wanderer - Leam Richardson - on a permanent contract.

They have after, for once, he decided not to follow Paul Cook (this time to Ipswich).

Surely having warm-up games before a major tournament you play your best 11. This 11 is never going to start together so what's the point. Players left out shouldn't need a rest and players picked shouldn't need game time. Another piss poor performance.

Johnstone is never going to start, Godfrey at rb when we have 3 others? Mings is terrible. JWP is decent at set pieces. Rashford looks like he can't be bothered. DCL non existent. I thought Sancho was some world beater looking at his stats in the German league.... poor again.

Grealish is the main man. Bellingham looks decent and should be knocking on the door depending on the formation we start with. Shaw had a decent game. Henderson ffs.

Oh and why play players that aren't in the 26 squad for the tournament. Jesse Lingard, Ben White, Ben Godfrey, James Ward-Prowse and Ollie Watkins all left out.

Really? Not paid any attention to the friendlies, didn't even know we'd played today but are we really fielding players who aren't going to the tournament??

That makes fuck all sense

Think because TAA pulled out he can pick one of those as a replacement. Still pointless picking them all today.

Would’ve been nice to see our strongest 11 in action before the tournament but suppose it reduces risk of injury to our star players.

Glad that Grealish has recovered from injury, could win us a lot of penalties and set pieces in the tournament.

J. Henderson should be behind Pickford on the takers list if we have a penalty shoot out 😂

Ideal starting XI, injuries permitting:

.                  pickford;

Walker, Stones, Maguire, Chilwell

.       Bellingham, Rice, Mount

.         Foden, Kane, Grealish

Henderson for Pickford and that looks right to me

Same apart from I'd go James for Bellingham and change to a back 5 for our first game. James looked solid in a back 3 for Chelsea. He can mop up after Stones and Maguire.

+Henderson for Pickford.

Maybe play a new RB in each half with players who are going to the tournament then

Anyway

Can’t read too much into warm up games, so many things they are trying. But we played well, Sam Johnstone really impressed me

Always amazed how much critique goes into a game with nothing on it. Madness
