Fair enough, just how I saw it. Awful maybe harsh but relatively speaking they were nowhere near their best.

I wasn't bothered much either way who won and from a neutral perspective I was very disappointed with Liverpool.

Its fantastic that they've got to 3 cup finals and haven't managed to score a goal.

A real anti climax, both teams didn't turn up, Madrid so boring.  A similar game to last year's Chelsea 1 City 0.  Dull. But I'm not invested and can just move onto tomorrow's far more pivotal game, Forest-Huddersfield.  Scousers will be looking forward to their celebratory bus tour tomorrow.

City gave Real a much harder test than Liverpool did tonight but equally both teams let themselves down by not being clinical. Credit to Courtois and the Madrid defence though, they were imperious. 

Even though it's not the prettiest way to win sometimes you just have to admire that defensive resolve. A very Mourinho like performance from Ancelotti's Real.

9 out of 10 games Liverpool win comfortably, it was Courtois having a special game that prevented Liverpool from winning, would you have admired Real's defence had Courtois not kept them from losing by 3 or so goals?

A lot of guts to fight back in previous round but in each game their defence as conceded umpteen chances and they've been so lucky, such an underwhelming winner, but again admire their fighting spirit.
