Resist it.  It's a complete toilet. Docks, storage facilities and chemical plants. 100% 'industrial'. Dangerous too. Cold, windy, often wet and the whole area so flat that a sleeping policeman is considered a hill.

Not one saving grace whatsoever.

Went in the late 90s as part of a uni field trip, oddly enough

The main area with the bars was alreet

Ended up talking to a Feyernoord fan

They really don't like Ajax

Meant to mention, Scottish football. After the old firm were both bounced, Hearts were pitiful at Fiorentina last night. Looked like the viola could score at will.

Pub league is harsh but I reckon the bottom half of the Championship and the top half of League One would give their current squads  something to think about.

Aside from Celtic and Rangers, the rest of the Scots Prem is as you say bottom half championship at best, and that's being kind.  There are countless players currently starting games there, that have left not only Lge 1 here but Lge 2.  At least 3 ex-Bolton (Crawford, Matthews, O'Halloran) and players like McKirdy at Hibs who's Lge 2 (Swindon); Humphreys who couldn't get in Wigan's team, Josh Morris ex Scunthorpe, Salford etc.  But when we have championship teams getting ridiculous parachute payments and the knock on effect of that and the Sky TV deals, the Scots can't pay the wages, if Sky decided to pay them what they pay Bournemouth, Watford and Burnley the roles would be reversed.

7 away wins and 3 draws out of 11 L1 matches today.

Wycombe not usually the first home win alphabetically.

Portsmouth are at Charlton on Monday night, so could be another away!

Are city the new Bolton- missing chances, or was it a closer game than that?

They didn’t have many clear cut chances tbh haaland should’ve done better with a few headers

Fair enough. I briefly heard haaland having one saved and the commentary saying they were on top.

Yes they turned the screw at times but fair play to Liverpool they dug deep

Wonder if their fans are in meltdown this morning questioning the manager and the meaning of life :)

2 draws and 2 defeats in last 4 league games, 9 condeded.  Below is the first post on a Pompey forum, cant be bothered reading any more but they do have a thread entitled Has Cowley Resigned that started in August 😃

This is our 6th season in league one and we look no closer to achieving promotion. Are we ever going to get back to where we at least should be, the championship.  Poor recruitment from the cowleys with a terrible defence and keeper, but also a lack of investment in the team from the owners.  Another season where we will finish 5th or 6th or just outside the playoffs. A million miles off top 2. For a club of Pompeys support and history, it's embarrassing.  Have our fans given up, had the life kicked out of them where we are all resigned to this league now?  The fact we are still in this league is a joke, and we look further away than ever before of getting out this league.

Jesus, thought our lot were mental.
