Haha this is a mad discovery. Bet it’s in every town ha.

Ive never been sure if it was just a fylde coast thing but theres loads of pockets of streets and closes all linked across the area. Not just the new housing estates either.

Got Kempton, Ascott and Aintree behind me. Scotch towns futher up and seasons round the corner.

Fuck me Im boring :D

I was dragged up on the Bird Estate, Highfield, which is next to the Lakes Estate and not too far from the Flower Estate and the Poets Estate.

There's a road near here called Ambleside that leads to an estate with street names like Windermere Close, Keswick Close, Bowness Close, Elterwater Drive, Tilberthwaite and Ullswater Close. No idea why, but its nice to pick out the road signs on the way to Morrisons.

Poets estate up Hag Fold, Keats Close, Wordsworth Ave, Cowper Avenue, Byron Close, Blake Avenue, Shelley Close, Chaucer Close, Milton Close, Browning Ave, The estate had their own pub originally called the Pretoria because of the locality of the Pretoria Pit (which has it's own history) before it closed it had had a name change to Poets Corner

My middle class childhood estate is all named after places in Norfolk. So Hunstanton,Cromer Sheringham, Trimingham etc.

My first place out of my parents was next to Dickie Bird estate in Bury which is one of Bury's sink estates sadly not named after cricket umpires but birds.

Most of the streets in Buckshaw Village are named after Military Regiments or notable Military Scientists/Engineers due to it being the location of the old ROF. Barnes Wallis Way is my favourite.

This is classic pre season fayre, forget mis-firing strikers.
