Don't think theres any debate on how strong the English league is.

Problem is people just think the rest are massively inferior and are totally shite.

I was guilty of it myself.

Folk slag Germany for being a one team league when we are pretty that ourselves.

Arsenal today.

They are a good side, and very driven. But, for shithousery, it's so like watching Wengers lot. Fck, they try every trick.

Course they do

They had 10 men and a lead

They weren't there to entertain

Mancini's City used to get similar complaints

Got it on the wireless.

Pep's got a touch of the Evatts! 🤣

Once Haaland scored early, I thought they would win, albeit with a scrap.

Hopefully, Arsenal will be fucked.

His defending set pieces is even worse I think!  Never seen anything like it, Arsenal put about 6 men near the back post, so City put 80% of their defence at the near post.  So they cross it to the  far post, and win the headers.  Not sure we're allowed to criticise Pep though unless we can show coaching badges and trophies.

I was happy with the result, 3 draws today at PNE, Brighton and City, 40/1 treble, thanks Stonesey!

Just come away from Villarreal game now, some world class rolling around on the floor in that and the Valencia game yesterday. Laughable at times 😂

Appreciated the proper high quality general standard of the play, but I don't think I'll be rushing back for more La Liga.

Tedious

I gave up watching most of the 2nd half, ended up fast forwarding much of it, a terrible watch for the neutral with all outfield players camped around the Arsenal box.  I hate it when sendings off ruin a spectacle, especially when its such a pathetic red.

Well it was a bit tongue in cheek, but I'd hazard a guess that Arteta won't make 11 changes.

I bet he does.  Maybe some of the subs will start against us, or if there are any players that can't play in their league game on Saturday for any reason.

No, didn't bet on us, didn't have a clue as I didn't know how Reading would be.

I've bet on us to win at Arsenal, 25/1.  Odds are coming in, down to 22/1 now.  Draw gone from 10/1 to 9/1 since this morning 😀

I've always found it a strange debate to be honest

You'll find great games, average games and shit games across every league everywhere every weekend

Some leagues are clearly quite stronger than others in terms of personnel

I'll take any game in any league before I watch Bournemouth v Ipswich

I know it's only on loan but suspect that wasn't the move he was hoping for next

La famiglia reckon that De Laurentiis is playing a game. Whetting his appetite for a change of scenery and hoping that Conte success at Napoli will have him wishing to be back.

Like you, I was surprised he didn't end up at somewhere like Arsenal.

I can’t stand La Liga to be fair. Started watching Portuguese though

Sort of with you - yet again. Watch some Spanish but always feels like there's something not quite right. Maybe my aversion to their massive over reliance on tiki taka. Portuguese, even with its 'simulation' pandemic just seems much more enjoyable. Almost a Brazilian exuberance and simple joy of just playing the game. Logical I suppose considering Brazils heritage.

Always enjoy Eredivisie games, obviously Serie A, some Bundesliga and then cherry pick from Ligue 1, La Liga and a fair bit of South American - mainly Brazil and Argentina. Subscribing to Brian Glanvilles 'World Soccer' at around 8 years old scarred me for life!

Cue a 6-6 thriller with 35 minutes added time after the ref thumps a manager, the cops get involved and a paraglider lands on the roof!

Just checked - it's actually on April 1st so you never know!
