Some folk keep saying that but the small gap has only opened up between the SPL and the Premiership since the richer English clubs started replacing Brits with expensive foreigners. Until the 06/07 season when Celtic - the first British European champions - last beat Man U in Europe and at that time the Scots had the better head to head record against English clubs in Europe.
The number of foreign players in the Prem is >60% and the massive spending spree finally allowed English clubs to overtake Scotland. Total player “value” of the two leagues tells the story - 12.5 billion v 375 million - and I still reckon Celtic would be comfortably mid table Prem.

 Mid table League One - if that.

Stick Celtic and Rangers in the English League system and they'll eventually end up alongside Villa, Newcastle and Spurs in the decent side hoping for a cup win and European run area. The players they have now would have them fighting with us, Cardiff and Bradford in league 1

Their recruitment must leave a lot to be desired.  Rangers current squad cost at least £30mil, that might only get 1 player in the Prem but if they didn't walk it in L1 they'd have to have a very bad manager.

I've been hearing these prognostications since the 1970's.

Thankfully, we will never find out.

Just as illegal seaborne interlopers should be repelled from the southern border, skirt wearing porridge wogs should be repelled from the northern one. Yes, I do say this to my relatives up there :D

Well as part of the McDonnell clan I still have the tartan kilt I wore as a child. Whit walks round Swinton when my sister was Rose Queen so I agree with you 58. 🤣

I dont have a problem with Scottish teams in England . We have Welsh teams , had an English team in Scotland and a Scottish team in the FA Cup .

They would have to start in the 5th and work there way up tho .

Wrexham v Sheffield U is shaping up.

Parky is playing GT at LWB

Best performance in Georges Career, looks a yard faster and the mad tackles not evident.....3 assists plus won a penalty

Listened on radio on way home, sounded like he had a great game in a big win

I know it's a very small sample size but just watched the EFL Highlights of Div 1 and the standard of defending on show was dreadful.

Yet rarely seems that way when we play any of the fuckers, defend for their lives. Cunts

Massively impressed with George in that new role yesterday and the extra time he got on the ball playing wide allowed him to showcase  that wand of a left foot to great effect. I know some folk don’t like players “out of position” but LWB is made for him and I only wished we’d realised that when he was with us.

Everyone else had a go there so am surprised he didn't

SS calmed him down a bit playing on the left of a back 3

One of those rare deals where it was good for everyone imo.

Really don’t want Arsenal to win the league. Their fans are big gimps. Hopefully they'll crumble again.

I've been pretty indifferent regards them but that silly cow they have on talksport has made me want them to fail with every beat of my heart.

Stupid fucking bint.
