Tbf i think he's going to break a shit load of records

78 pl goals in 113 games at the age of 23

He could be on course to beat Shearers PL goal scoring record assuming

1) he stays relatively injury free

2) he doesn't leave the country

3) he keeps it up

He was 19/1 to score 2 or more tonight. My mate won £1500.

He's won £4K in 4 months betting on him to score.

I reckin youd have won more backing a few quid on wheevers on first goal and any time last season

What can we expect with gareth fucking southgate as our manager

Quarter finals of a major tournament at best, no different than any other tournament in the last 40 years.

And if we get lucky then maybe more, just because it's cup football

Doubt any of the top countries have a manager anywhere near as bad as Southgate, never seen us look as bad defensively, on that form we've zero chance of getting out of the group stages. Thankfully after years of abject failure my levels of enthusiasm and expectations for England are similar to the Skirt wearing porridge gobblers.

Aye, he's tosh.  About as inspiring (and effective?) as TM ;)

In my lifetime we could well have lifted a few trophies, but bad luck in some cases, penalties, or just lacking a touch from the football Gods has been the difference.

That said. we seem light years behind most nations from a technical and tactical perspective - the likes of Japan, Korea, Turkey, Nigeria, USA etc, who were seen as fodder not that long ago, have overtaken us in those aspects.  No coincidence why Germany and Italy always perform well.

We have decent players, always have, but the whole England set up seems to be a huge albatross.

Like you, I've lost any passion I used to have for England - I watch for the giggle as much as anything these days.  Even writing this has felt like a chore

A positive is the U20s success but how many will see top level game time?

I reckon the PSNI will be all over this and deal with it easily enough.

They've already told Linfield that they can't play at home on the 12th, but have requested to UEFA that the legs are switched too.

Dealing with sectarian dickheads is their forté, they've had some practice.
