I think my season ticket is great value for money.

 

If I had to pay on the day, I would be far more selective which days they were.

 

It does need looking at.

 

A day at the match isn't just the cost of the ticket.

I paid £22.99 for some flights to Germany once, well in advance, then I found out someone next to me had got some deal or other, paid £9.99 for his, and mere days before we flew...

 

I was livid, I emailed Michael Collins the very next day to complain, he sent a curt email back telling me to piss off.

 

Thankfully, BWFC take notice of their irate ST holders, so when someone comes on here, offering five games for £50 - for charity, it's soon nipped in the bud after complaints to the club.

To be honest, I'm not sure I notice the 30 odd quid come out of my account every month & that's not being arrogant, I genuinely don't think it is dear. I think it was Stanley who intimated previously, if you are struggling that much then is it something you should be doing every game? Football like any leisure activity is a sundry item in your spend for the month spreadsheet , surely,

The whole point of this is about "Floating" Support. not season ticket supporter. i dont think anyone has said they are bad value at all.

 

£30 a month isn't bad at all (although i imagine if i had 2 kids and was one £204 a week which some papers would have you believe is the norm in the area) i think i would still debate it.

 

what needs addressing is where the likes of shift workers etc who may get a stint of 4 games in 3 weeks.....thats around £120 in a month....this then becomes a problem.

I'm a shift worker who does miss quite a few matches but the £25 a month I pay for a season ticket works out cheaper than paying for each game individually.

I think that was pretty much what I was getting at. I might miss some due to being away but a season ticket is good value so even missing a few it still works out well for me.

The lapsed ones might be coaxed back with offers but will they carry on coming? My cynical heart says no.

A quick bit of mental arithmetic suggests you could miss over a third of games and still be better off with a season ticket than paying on the day...

 

Something's got to give - suspend the ST of folk who down show up for a match (for the next game, next two for repeat offenders.) - that'll learn 'em.

You should have emailed Michael O'Leary, the CEO. Hevwoukd probably told you to feck off though

Entry fee should be means tested, so me and the average fan can get in for £8 per game, and the likes of Jules and Big E can pay £300 per game. It's the only way forward

They should give their ticket to someone else if they can't make it.

 

As long as their seat was filled, they needn't be sanctioned.

I'd like to think every season ticket holder can find somebody who's willing to pay a fiver for the Millwall game. An email to all those with previous booking history and a proper promotion will help - with Lenny involved in drumming up support. A mention once in the BN and on twitter isn't enough. That said, it's up to us season ticket holders to do our bit and take up the offer. If the response is good it strengthens the case for doing more of this.

It's a full day out for lots of us, I wouldn't see my brother from one year to the next if we didn't have a good day at the match.
