The club only get £6 from the £10 tickets anyway.

Maybe the club should team with the bolton and bury jfl and promote season tickets, rather than £10 tickets

That's even worse. There must be better ways of supporting grass roots footbal.

I applaud the fact that they are doing something but do something that doesn't make a season ticket less attractive financially.

Someone pointed out that you don't get to sit in the same seats every game but provided you don't want to sit in someone else's seat you can currently sit where you want.

These 10 quid tickets might be putting something into grassroots football (good), but they're not widely available or advertised (the only place I've ever heard mention of em is on here) so they're doing, relatively speaking, jack shit to actually boost our crowds. As mentioned, charging the best part of 30 quid to watch a Championship game against Watford (even allowing for a 7 goal thriller) explains why there were as many empty seats as filled ones yesterday. Why not do the last 5 games for 50 quid? Or for the Reading night match kids for a quid and adults for a fiver? There've been no proper deals this season that I can remember - wasn't it 20 quid for Ipswich before Xmas? Hardly a deal.

Its sad that a town cannot get a crowd in for the local team more than 14k, it is terrible for a town the size of Bolton, the shame is these days many people are not brought up to have pride in the community they live in and in the world today many people just follow the bigger clubs like sheep, I really dont know what BWFC can do to reverse the way folk are today, this is another thing about modern society I dislike.

Our crowds are not much worse than they've always been in this league. I'm really not sure what people are expecting and why.

It can be done, Mounts, as has been shown before. Winning football and sensibly priced tickets and they'll come back. And don't forget, until the Premier years - through the 80s and half the 90s - we'd have killed for an average of over 15k, which is where we are currently.

The only true measure of attendances are average crowds over a period of time. I think people are falling into the trap of picking out individual attendances and using them to criticize the size of our support.

I think it can be done and playing good attacking football should help, the problem is that many previously loyal fans have got out of the habit and I dont see them ever returning on a regular basis , therefore we need to concentrate on new younger fans and contnue helping familes to bring their kids and make them the fans of the future.

You can always gauge how well we are doing on the pitch by whether or not there's a thread on here about attendances. If there is were doing alright!

I think we should all be worried about attendances, the more crowds we get the more money we can spend and I dont want a retro 1980s experience ever again 5000 and less is not pretty.

I do tend to agree, you look back over the last 100+ years, and we've never really had "excellent" crowds. For some reason, the good townsfolk of Bolton, just don't see, to be overly interested in the towns club.

Even if we reduced prices to £10 per ticket for all games, we still wouldn't sell out every week, people would be complaining that it's not a fiver

That's not really the point i was making. The crowds we get are pretty much standard for us and for this league. In fact they're not bad for the bottom half of this league. We're no better or worse supported than most clubs our size. The difference is that other teams don't have to compete with the sort of clubs we have in our catchment area.

'Pathetic' compared to who? What size of crowd were you expecting? It's now seventy seven games and counting since we were in the top half of the Championship. We won't go up or down and the season is fizzling out and yet there was a bigger crowd at our game yesterday than there was at Ewood for a fifth round FA Cup tie.

If you were comfortable looking at the clusters of empty seats on FLS the crack on.

I couldn't give two shits about blackburns crowd sizes,I just know that yesterday looked fucking awful.

We had 22k on last week. That's the only attendance you should be making comparisons with.

A half empty ground looks shit,is shit to be in and is all round plain shit.

If you think that's ok then your insane.

We had 17,000 home supporters on last week for an FA Cup tie against decent opposition. Fuck knows what sort of crowd you were expecting against Watford but if you think that there's any comparison between those two games, you're as mad as that bloke who thinks we should be getting crowds of 20K in the bottom half of the Championship.

I'm saying the club needs to put deals on to make the crowds better you fucking dick.

I don't expect anything more than we had yesterday. We have shit support...I got to grips with that a long time ago. Shame a few others didnt.

It's never been any different and never will, unless the club get more through the door by putting on cheap offers.

There was less than 11k Bolton fans there yesterday. That, whatever way you want to look at it,is totally shit.

Blackpool are only a few hundred short of us and I've seen folk hilariously slam them for their crowds.

Pillocks.

No one is arguing with your first point.

Your second point is bollocks.

Yesterdays crowd 14,250, are you seriously saying there was 3000 Watford fans, id suggest nearer 500.

If there were 14,250 fans in the ground yesterday ill show my arse on the town hall steps.
