Mounts Kipper Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Everton at Burnden semi final, Man U 75 at home, Man U away 3-0 in 79-80 season, Black Sunday, Blackpool when we should have got in the play offs and one I did not go to Stoke away when we got relegated, oh and Charlton away when we got relegated. Theres loads. Edited February 27, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I don't think I'll ever get over the Stoke semi. Last game before I emigrated. Imagine having that as the lasting impression of live footy for several years. No wonder I'm so maladjusted. Quote
Con Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Scarborough for me.Terrible, terrible performance, and IIRC we hit our lowest ever league position after that defeat. Quote
famouswanderer Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 its gotta be stoke semi. i was a right depressed cunt for some time afterwards Quote

Theres loads. All those, Mounts. But got to add Scarborough (a) and Chelsea (a) when even the Chelsea fans wanted us to get a result, but we lost & went down narrowly - reprieving an undeserving Everton. Quote
Site Supporter Spider Posted February 27, 2015 Site Supporter Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Tranmere at Wembley Aston Villa at Wembley Stoke at Wembley Watford at Wembley I've decided I don't like Wembley Edited February 27, 2015 by Spider Quote
Farrelli Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 In hindsight Tranmere was a blessing as it paved the way for Neal's reign to end a year later. Quote
Whites man Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 In hindsight Tranmere was a blessing as it paved the way for Neal's reign to end a year later. You and that idiot brother of yours should start showing Neal some respect. He turned the ship round and laid the foundations Rioch built on. Quote
Farrelli Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Calm down, it's all about opinions. Had Neal taken us up I think we would have come back down straight away. Quote
COYW Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Notts County 6 v Bolton 1 ...and bear in mind that Notts County were almost as bad then as they are now. Quote

gonzo Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Boro cup final gets a special mention for me. That's the closest we've been to winning a cup I will ever see in my lifetime. It's also the only time I've shed a tear at a football match as an adult, whilst watching them lift the pot. Stoke and Black Sunday speak for themselves by the way. Both cowardly displays by a bunch of fannies caught in the headlights. Quote
Members DazBob Posted February 27, 2015 Members Posted February 27, 2015 Derby away last season 0-0 But that was a good point. Quote

Mr pickwick Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 stoke semi final, Chelsea to stay up but my worst was wolves in 76 when the cunts took the embankment but couldn't take lever end at end of game Quote
Moderators Zico Posted February 27, 2015 Moderators Posted February 27, 2015 I don't think I'll ever get over the Stoke semi. Last game before I emigrated. Imagine having that as the lasting impression of live footy for several years. No wonder I'm so maladjusted. This is probably your benchmark then and would explain why you never seem to think it's that bad, when it actually is/was Quote
