Qatar World Cup

How the fuck is Martin Keown considered one of the best options for co-commentary at a World Cup - he’s absolutely clueless.

Poland miss a penalty in a game that’s 0-0 - “you just couldn’t write this”. Really? Hardly groundbreaking stuff

Keown... 'Argentinnia'

Since it's started I've heard you couldn't write this script' at least 5 times a day. Yes, yes you can. People write about moonmen living on the backs of dragons drinking the blood of their enemies. A man missing a penalty isn't beyond the realms of the human imagination.

An underdog beating a favourite happens in every world cup.

My favourite today was. You couldn't have seen that shock. Well, obviously, otherwise it wouldn't be a shock would it?

In the old days, commentators said what was needed and summarisers added their insights when they could add something to the understanding of the viewer.

Nowadays they just prattle on interminably. Wonder what brought on the change/deterioration?

Also the increasing number of pundits. 3 in the studio with a presenter. One with the commentator. 6 folk to talk about a game.

Including Roy Keane the intelligent who can't grasp a rule and it's enforcement. Though to be fair, some refs don't seem so sure neither.
