Nice to see former wanderer Rodrygo on the pitch shows what a mistake it was letting him go but Brazil are playing well. Been a great World Cup despite the off field vitriol.

“Letting him go” wasn’t our call anyway. He was here on loan from Benfica.

edit - and he is a Spanish International

Aye.

Played for a 0-0, and they're likely to get their part.

As soon as Brazil scored, they upped the pace briefly, but just seem to have accepted defeat.

Brazil have upped things now and look capable. Still would like to see their defence tested.

Serbia will surely be targeting the other 2 games now its wide open for 2nd place this group.

You don't half feel baked after watching 4 games on the bounce do you!

Quite shocking the lack of knowledge most football fans have of anything outside of England really.

He has been Brazils starting 9 for about 3/4 years!!!!

Tim Vickery is ace on the South American stuff.

His little bit on H&J and his podcasts are good.

Love Tim Vickery, he's one of the most intelligent pundits going and not just about football, on music, politics all sorts.

He's just got a slightly odd way about him which I think has stopped him being on telly on the reg. And he lives in Rio which probably doesn't help like

Ye he is ace, proper passionate and very rare is he wrong.

He is very excited about this brazil team.

His Richarlison stuff is great too…he is a hero in Brazil, they adore him.

Brazil don't look a 4/1 fav shot to me

Still think we've looked the best team in this round of games

The petulance of youth. One thing I have learned over many World Cup Finals series watched is that to get excited after the first group game is foolish in the extreme.

Brazil were exuberant, slick, stylish beyond anything we have seen so far and against a tough opponent - not like France against the hapless Australians where even Costa Rica may have looked good.

Just like many did after England won an easy match against Iran, getting too excited can mean the come down is far worse than it needs to be. We all know it gets serious at the knockout stage so my advice would be to keep your powder dry until there's something worth getting excited about.

At the moment, very happy about my investments in Brazil and France and not yet overly concerned about Argentina who have the capacity to bounce back.

Spot on. Looking forward to seeing how they cope with moments of adversity.

Other that, a Lamborghini merely flicked into second gear a few hours ago,

Ha. I don’t find him odd at all. Just massively informed about everything South America. Tells it as it is with no spin and no angle

Actually….he’s quite odd then thinking about it. Shouldn’t be in media..

It's not him, this one is 21 and plays for Real Madrid

The one you're thinking of is Spanish and was on loan

Oh me neither, I could listen to him all day! It's just the kind of less polished for TV manner he has, if you ask him a question he'll give you an answer backed up with long and winding anecdotes which I think unsettles presenters looking for snappy answers and move on.

He's made for podcasts, always worth checking him out when he guests on one.
