Just an opinion, same as yours

And i have a feeling France will expose us

I think the main problem for us is the same as the last couple of tournaments - we don't have a midfield pivot capable of retaining posession and dictating the play when under the cosh. A Modric, Busquets, type figure.

Absolute shite this walking pace stuff, we’ve got quick skilful players on the pitch yet we don’t use them. Tell you what let’s drop our best scorer Rashford and play Henderson instead. Fuck off Southgate.

Never in the field of Bolton message boards has one man been wrong about so many things.

I’m with casino on this. Reaching the 1/4 final is par achievement, the 4 teams we’ve played were very average, first 30 minutes tonight we play like that against a proper team we could be 2 down and heading home, positives are foden beginning to bubble nicely,  Henderson performance was excellent, quality leader, old school player and his guidance makes us a better team and allows Bellingham a little bit more freedom to get forward, we’ve a chance Saturday night but I make them slight favourites.

Quality that. Teams will be very apprehensive about playing us. France have a great attack, so do we. Rabiot won't be able to cope with our movement up front, but I worry Stones and Maguire will be the same with the French front line. Three clean sheets says a lot.  Just waiting for lots of usual media bollox about Agincourt and Waterloo etc. We beat France, we win the world cup!

France went behind v Australia, at 1-1 v Denmark, Braithwaite missed a huge chance and v Poland at 0-0, Lloris makes a great save when it looked a certain goal, Mbappe of course is capable of changing any game, but as a team they aren't perfect.

Flipping that France, will look at that first 30 minutes and be thinking yeah we can do well v this defence.

I'm not sure what happened in the group stages has much relevance at this stage of the tournament.

It's do or die and the mentality shifts.

its not not beating france thats the worry.

if they do , you cannot be 100% sure theyd beat , say, switzerland afterwards.

do the hard stuff , fuck up the 'easy' bit.

the bellingham hype is a bit much too. they used to do it with sancho .

im a bit worried

As long as we're on it from the beginning  and don't have another dopey start we have a chance against France. They have the players who will punish that sloppyness without batting an eyelid.

whilst we're on about the world cup, would people be kind enough to check out my mates song on spotify or youtube, 'World cup for Christmas', by Liam Hodge and Caged Tigers. Trying to get it higher than any Cliff shite. It's a good tune.

If we beat Shrewsbury and lose to France, is that a bad Saturday? Could be a strange set of emotions at the weekend.

Personally I celebrated our goals tonight about a quarter of celebrating a Bolton league goal, but I think that may change a bit v France.  I think if England win it will be huge but if France win I will have forgotten about it by Sunday lunchtime.  If Shrewsbury win I'll still be thinking about what went wrong on Sunday night.
