Right - forgetting the bent bidding process and the conditions of the migrant workers building the stadiums - does anybody else agree that a Nov/Dec competition has the potential to be ace?

 

Firstly because it will take up most of the traditional Christmas bullshit season so we'll all be talking about football and not festivities. Secondly just for the novelty factor. And thirdly because we can see whether or not our well worn excuse about our players being tired stands up to scrutiny.

Well, that was just dreadful, far too slow, especially playing around at the back, no momentum at all and the USA are quicker to every ball. Several out there look like they’re just having a kick about and need to sharpen up or they’re going to find themselves behind. Can’t say the USA are anything and if we come out with a better attitude in the second half we’ll take these no problem.

Robinson couldn't actually kick a ball in any direction with any accuracy when he was with us and here he is performing on the world stage at the highest level there is.

These are the situations where Southgate can be rightly criticised, for me. It needs changing up right now not leaving for 5 or 10 more minutes. On a knife edge here at this point.
