Chairman Phil Gartside said "We continue to move towards a self-sustainable future, demonstrated by the club successfully meeting the Financial Fair Play criteria.”

Aye we successfully met the Financial Fair Play criteria but unsuccessfully lost another £ 9 million for the year

So what would you do Mr Businessman?

Just moan I expect. Maybe we should have 'made' someone pay £9 million for one of our stiffs.

every team that gets relegated and doesn't go back up has been mismanaged

the key is not to have the 12th biggest wage bill in the prem and spunk it on shite so bad you go down

anyway, BD, when do we get some more detail

Gate receipts?

Like about half the club in the Prem (and that's being kind) we operated well beyond our means, with the TV and Prem money just a smokescreen for long term stability. We aren't the first to fall on our arse, we won't be the last. Some will fall a lot harder. I'm looking at Cardiff.

The decline started when we threw money at Allardyce (as opposed to when we scouted around for bargains), carrying on with the next three clowns. But I suspect few on here were worried about that, everyone just wanted us to spend spend spend - like every supporter of every top flight club. Which we did. Badly.

Th future is bringing our own talent through, a lesson learnt about 5 years too late.

Sorry Gonzo to answer your question. Compares very unfavourably with other championship clubs. I'm no expert but market rates would seem to apply. I'd plump for £100k max and wonder what the other directors being paid do for their money.
