RoadRunnerFan
Put the effort in but a very limited player considering what we were supposedly paying him. I know he was a Bosman but rumoured £40k pw to put the odd tackle in, receive the ball from a centre half and give it to the full back never sat right with me. birch-chorley
£2m a year and no transfer fee for a senior squad member About right for a club turning over £50m-£60m a year with a squad of 25 players as we were In a couple of years your average joe NRC's will be pulling £100k+ per year playing at mid table teams like Stoke Bonkers

Didn't deliver what I would expect from a senior pro though despite many interviews about 'standing up and being counted,' 'stepping up to the plate' etc. A journeyman pro on £10k pw less wold have given us the same imo, and Muamba was a better player spending half his time on the bench. Clubs like ours can only afford to be paying their matchwinners that type of money, so I suppose any criticism should be directed at Coyle rather than the player himself. kent_white
If Reo-Coker was half has good as he seemed to believe he was he'd have had 100+ caps for England.

Gumbo
He really wasn't as arrogant as what some folk are making out. You'd put him in the trenches well before some of the shithouses during that time.
Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted April 25, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted April 25, 2015 I never had an issue with his attitude. His footballing ability was similar to Keith Andrews though.
