DIPS Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Yes, we should have demanded £20M for Holding Haha was going to lead onto that too ???? Quote
gonzo Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 For where Everton are at, at this current time, they are better off with Ashley Williams at the back with £35 million in the bank than John Stones tying himself in knots in front of the Gladys street end getting pelters off the crowd. Quote
Pablo Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 (edited) Spot on gonch, we have just agreed and £18 million deal for Kone at Sunderland too, we are now much stronger. Edited August 9, 2016 by Pablo Quote

I'd be well chuffed if we signed him in their position. He's a warrior. Quote

He's a warrior. Agreed, one of the best centre backs in the league for me and probably has 2 or 3 seasons left in him. Arsenal should have snapped him up and just accepted they wouldn't be able to recover any of the £12m in 2 or 3 years time. Quote

He's a warrior. aye, don't get me wrong, but you'd want him playing every week, or a guarantee he will, or just pay him when he does his track record suggests he stays fit only missing a handful of games a season or maybe we've been out the PL that long £12M doesn't yet seem like a snip to me then again. he's got way more than 6 times experience than Holding but would still have expected a 3 or 4 year contract Quote
Site Supporter Spider Posted August 9, 2016 Site Supporter Posted August 9, 2016 It goes without saying that I sincerely hope Pogba snaps his ACL during his first game and is out for the season. Quote

mickbrown Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 £47.5M - blimey, that's not a bad bit of business, especially for Barnsley who apparently have a 15%~20% sell on clause City have previous of paying way over the odds for vastly overrated Everton centre halves. You think they'd learn their lesson.. Quote
Traf Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Stones is a lucky lad. Not many of us get to retire at 22. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 (edited) The more this stupid money gets thrown around the more I hate what the premier league has become over hyped over rated players with no sense of reality I hope it all goes pop the sooner the better. Doubt I'll watch match of day all season or any premier league matches live. I'm just not interested it's not what football should be about. Edited August 9, 2016 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted August 9, 2016 Site Supporter Posted August 9, 2016 Stones - I just don't get it. Yes he is decent and has potential but 47m??? Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted August 9, 2016 Moderators Posted August 9, 2016 This is the club that spent more than that on Raheem Sterling. Quote
Kane57 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Wonder if Cahill would have commanded a similar fee if he was at that age today. We probably would have sold for 8m again Quote
gonzo Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 It's just not a lot of money. It's like us spending £200k on a player. Quote
Con Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Crystal Palace want 30 million from Everton for Bolasie. The world really has gone fucking mental. Quote
Pablo Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Take about 1/3 off that, and that's what he will come to us for. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Take about 1/3 off that, and that's what he will come to us for. Still 2/3rds too much spunking all that stones cash on them two ...... Ouch Quote

Pablo Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 (edited) £25 million now, is the £12 million from 3 years ago. You get good prem players for £25 - £30 million now, no worldies, its madness. Edited August 10, 2016 by Pablo Quote
Pablo Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Still 2/3rds too much spunking all that stones cash on them two ...... Ouch Meh, swings and round-a-bouts, we are not skint and we need some proven prem players in now. Gueye, Williams and Bolasie for the Stones cash is good business and improves the team, With more players to come. Quote
Eavesy Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Shame for honeyball with Taylor signing With the squad the size it is can't see any kids getting a chance this season (rightly or wrongly) Quote
