Right, found a recipe online and used that. Plenty more chillies left for any others!

 

Tinned toms

20 chillies (habenaro, hot wax and firecracker)

8 garlic cloves

Fish sauce

Cider vinegar

Sugar

 

Lovely.

This is really nice to be fair. Too many just taste of vinegar and are nothing but heat! This would be good in some tomato based pasta dish

Fish sauce has mystical powers... Nothing that minging should transform other foods so positively

I agree. When you sniff if you want to gag, a few drops in a sauce and it transforms the taste.

Ever used asafoetida?

Once got some from a spice stall and they kept it under the counter!

Truly minging yet great in pulse curries

 

Yes, loads of Indians use it. I bought some in Goa, they called it Hing.
