Yup they've had it for a couple of years now but it's the only American football jersey with proper stripes I can bring to mind.

It's made it's way into my collection of jerseys anyway.

What happened bolty?

Half expected it mate as you will see from my comments above. They weren't that impressive at Lambeau against the Chargers and just sneaked home (and Lambeau is a fortress). Next week will be really interesting. Already done enough to reach the playoffs I think but don't think they have a champion team yet.

On another note, enjoying watching Cam Newton at the Panthers. Haven't seen a QB who puts his body on the line like that since the legendary Brett Favre.

3 games at Twickenham now from next year as well as the Wembley ones and then the Tottenham deal. The NFL are really going for it over here, they have seen the potential. If our Premier League were as clued up and brave as them they would be taking a League game to the Far East or Middle East they would go crazy for it. As long as its one of the big five against whoever it would sell out and the knock on from merchandise and global interest would be phenomenal. Probably not wanted to antagonise FIFA until now but would be an ideal time to say fuck FIFA we are doing it, I'm sure they could strike a deal with the local Singapore/Japan/China FA and get it on.

Seems odd to still be playing them in london, even if it's different grounds, I'm not sure what the NFL gains from it.

Get some elsewhere in the country/europe.

there is talk of a game in germany ond one in Mexico City though

For Americans London still as a mystic about it, as Birmingham and Manchester really don’t

Are they aiming to split the 3 games between Twickenham, Wembley and The Naming Rights stadium?

Or is there gonna be more than 3 games?

I was surprised Kansas City gave up a home game it's been teams who struggle to sell tickets at home normally

I'm not doubting anybody, how do you know they are not looking at it?

who said they don't know about football? Typical Casino, be sarcastic, exaggerate and then knock an opinion down.

Playing a match somewhere the Prem is avidly followed would build bridges and reach out to millions of fans, already existing ones and create new ones

the NFL could and has, shown our lot the way. It is a competitive league in the way ours can only dream of, it has managed to balance out the power of money with the salary cap and draft. It has ticketing rules so games that have not sold out can't be shown live in the local area. Even small things like names on shirts, Monday Night Football come from NFL.

The International Games have been a huge success, folk like you probably poo pooed it as a gimmick. Now it easily sells out three games a year and is growing in the country whether you like it or not. NFL is massive in America and has actively gone out to expand in other markets

The world is a smaller place now we are told, Suppose Bolton were in the Premier League and we were offered shed loads of money to play there, would you turn it down if it helped the club in the long run? you were quick to say take the Wonga money,

Games in Far East..... why not?

if we were offered millions to play in the far east, id understand why we did it but i wouldn't like it

imo, its bollocks

as for expanding the game?

wake up, man its all over the telly

there's nobody in the far east that might see a game played out there that doesn't know about united and liverpool

how many teams get relegated each year from the nfl?

Football is massive game globally with millions watching it live at grounds all over the world every week.

The American Football is a minor sport everywhere outside the US and to some extent Canada.

The nfl has already exhausted most revenue streams stateside so has to move out of its comfortable home region to grow the reach of the game.

Other than making bucket loads of cash there's no need for the premier league to play outside the uk

That in a nutshell was my argument for it, it would make bucket loads of money for the Premier League. Marketed like the International Series they would go crazy for it. It is amazing really the hold the Premier League has already got over there, with millions getting up at 3am in the morning to watch matches. Send a Man Utd/Arsenal/Liverpool out there (plus the opponent) do a bit of PR visit schools, show interest in the local culture, give them a chance to watch a live game that matters, the money would roll in.

The marketing bods at the FA mooted it a few years ago, obviously testing the water. FIFA shit a brick and the ordinary fans kicked off because the press presented it as selling out but you never know. could happen.

No relegation in the NFL just as Mr Gartside advocated not so long ago but don't see the relevance sorry. Didn't say I liked everything about NFL
