It's a fair comment we all want this over but if it's a house or cards best that the FL say no what I can't understand is how the fuck it gets to this after Eddie and his team have supposed to have scrutinised them for months already and as I've said its not fucking hard to budget for this business - I'm hopeful it's just a FL regulation/technicality regarding payments to previous owners or something - he must have nerves of steel Edwin and feel for Deano clearly put everything into this roller coaster that just keeps rolling - I've been there and it is very very difficult

So the FL don't like Saint Eddie's 'you buy the car, but I keep the wheels, have a share in the future value of it and get to put my name on the side of it' deal. Well that's a surprise Eddie, after all you are have the interests of the future stability of the club at heart! Such a good deal Eddie, I can't believe that the club haven't thought of naming a suite after you and making you president! - it all defies belief!

Think the clue is the fact that they were scrutinising them for months

I don't remember Man City scrutinising the Abu Dhabi lot for months - they tipped up, paid cash and signed Robiniho for £30m all within hours

I stand by that fact that if anyone had come forward with real money on the table then ED would have ripped their hand off and been away.

Instead he's taking a £1 coin off Deano with some money on the never never. He's scrutinised it for months and knows it's a bag of spanners but the only other option at this stage is administration (he'd get a lot more than £1 up front at least that way)

ED is having to pick his poison - cancer or AIDS

Neither are particularly palatable for any of us - I'm leaning towards going into admin and starting again with a clean slate. Even if it means a new ground, fuck it.

The fact the the Football League won't ratify the deal is possibly a blessing in my view. If SS don't have a pot to piss in (as most feared) then we would be back in front of the FL again in the near future with another new owner.

Regardless of assert strippers, 12 point deductions and relegation. I would take administration. It's all totally fucked up. ED could have made this go away, months ago. He held the key, admin takes his key away. Fuck him, Fuck SS!

It would be nice to talk about our team/club without this cancerous cloud hanging over us.

BTID

They won't ratify the deal due to the demands of Davies, SS have proved that they can fund the club for the foreseeable.

Eddie Davies has shown himself to be a complete arsehole

Does anybody else think that if ED has pumped the best part of £200,000,000 into the club over the past decade or so - that hoping to recoup £15,000,000 of that in the very unlikely event we ever get back to the Premier League is pretty reasonable?

He hasn't pumped 200 million in and no.

I'd say giving the stadium & lostock away for £1 with £15m of debt payable if we get back into the prem in 5 years and net ourselves £150m is a fair deal

How about option 2 - Deano buys the 'club' for £1 and rents the ground and lostock back off ED for a reasonable sum per year for the next 10-20 years. SS get to do whatever they want with the money should we get back in the prem in the next 5 years

Either seem more than fair to me

He will have, if and when he writes the debt off. I reckon having to pay £15,000,000 back on the strength of us getting back into the prem is a fucking amazing deal. Mind you I don't have access to these accounts where he's been creaming off millions into the suitcase under his bed like some people seem to.

Sort of. Isn't it applicable in the championship too?

If we did get to the prem, fifteen million is peanuts and personally I'd have no problem with it. Can't see the FL would neither.

However, there must be other issues.

No he hasn't pumped in £200million.

He has loaned the club £150million since Sam Allardyce walked out and its all been spent. Most of it has funded trading losses but £36million was used to repay bank loans in 2009/10 that had escalated in Sam's final year (2006/07) through expensive player purchases. When the players were sold the loans weren't repaid, the money being 're-invested' in replacements.

No interest has been paid on the loans but interest accrued has taken the loan balance to £174miillon.

ED's total outlay is £170million made up of £150million loans, his initial share purchase £14million, subscription for new shares £2.5million (2003) and 'naming rights' of the academy (2006/07) £3.5million.

He took no remuneration whist serving as a director.

The only issue I can see is that SS haven't really got much money.

This, with big huge pendulous swinging brass bells on

So after months to get themselves organised, Holdsworth, his venture capitalist & assorted spivs & chancers still haven't got any money, can't meet a deal that was only agreed last week & are struggling to be considered fit & proper owners by the FL.............but it's all Eddie Davies's fault !!!

It looks like ED was dead right to be doubtful about SS, & only sold to them as a last resort.

I believe he's blown plenty of money on BWFC I don't for one minute believe he's spent the amount you say. Even if he has he needn't have if he had managed the club even half sensibly. Any how it's looking more likely that the club sale will now go through and it'll be end of ED reign, one which promised so much but due to horrific management and no forward planning has delivered a club virtually doomed to third tier football and already asset stripped thanks for that legacy Eddie. Hmm yeah, nothing to do with his ridiculous and pricey demands which go on for years after selling the club.

People seemed to have missed out on the fact that if we go into administration (and it makes no odds on the pitch so fuck it), the Supporters Trust have 28 days exclusivity to take over the club. I'd implore them to at least speak to these other interested parties, should they actually exist, first.

Those would be the "ridiculous & pricey"  demands that SS agreed to last week would they ?

What are these "ridiculous & pricey demands " anyway ? £15m if we go back up in the next 5 years,....so not very likely to have to be paid  & sod all in comparison to all the money that Mr Davies has written off .
