Mounts Kipper
Didn't we also raise 5.5 million by selling the car park? Plus the Tim Ream money, there should be something for a striker, the problem is persuading someone to join a team at the bottom of the league. And sadly the seasons over from a positive aspect. Moderators Horwich Posted October 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2015 Plus the parachute payment The problem is we are still spending too much on wages
gonzo
I dread to think of the managerial short list if Lennon went. Phil Brown. John Coleman. Kevin Davies. Phil Brown.

Eddies going to have to dig deeper or sell off more family silver. He's only got himself to blame. davidjack
So without the Ream money we'd have gone to the wall? Is that what we're really saying? If not, there should be some to spend on attempting to stop a rot that will cost us a shit load more if it's not stopped. And as you've said, we've brought several defenders in who are presumably being paid something - so we have got some money to spend.
davidjack
And Hayden White was presumably not coming into work for free...and he's now off the books...Trotter is on his way isn't he - another 10k a week. None of this can be used to buy the striker (not somebody whose time has been and gone or whose time will never come) that we should have signed in the summer? And which we've been told is about to happen every week for the past 2 months? Lennon must be as sick of saying the same shit week after week as we are of having to hear it. Moderators Horwich Posted October 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 22, 2015 We must be paying lennon a massive amount. Regarding gartside, theres no way we can afford to pay him what we do.

gonzo
Is he still local? Think Nigel Pearson would be interested? Bit early for crystal meth pal. No money. No fans. Lennon was the last big name we will ever attract under this stewardship.
birch-chorley
Flitcroft did a cracking job at Chorley, 4 promotions in 5 years on a shoe string budget He's privately wealthy as well so maybe he could bring his own war chest?
Mounts Kipper
I'm happy for Lennon to continue, I'm sure Tuesday was a blip, just a bit worried that Mjallby might have been the brains in the partnership.
waffer cup 07
So we bring in a new manage under the same financial stranglehold, same players, so status quo. Stick with Lenny.
Guest Blixa
It's a ridiculous state of affairs, he says he's talking everyday with Gartside yet it's not been discussed what budget is available for him to spend, how's Lennon supposed to target a player if he dosent know his budget? Yet Nixon seems to know now much we have for a striker? Someone is telling porkies.

He's only got himself to blame. The further Eddie lets the club slide, the less money he's likely to get for BWFC.It's a miserable situation Eddie has got us in, and only Eddie can sort it having chosen to buy the club.He might not want it to be his problem but Bolton Wanderers' pisspoor football team certainly is.Some say the situation isn't as bad as the early 1980s but the football team Eddie has representing us sure is. Tuesday team selection left me scratching my head as to why and that put some doubt in my mind, hoping it was just a 1 off. He hoped we would muscle a win. We didn't. Nothing more sinister than that.
Mounts Kipper
He hoped we would muscle a win. We didn't. Nothing more sinister than that. That's what I'm hoping, but he left Heskey on for 66 minutes, then put young untried kid up top, when he should have used Clayton up there and strengthen the midfield with Vela. Nothing more sinister than that.I know that but it's hardly the first time Lennon has done a "Freedman" And Mounts, he did it plenty before Mjallby left too so I don't think it's just that It is worrying though

bolton va va
Yet Nixon seems to know now much we have for a striker? Someone is telling porkies. Aye...another take on it could be that Nixon is a bullshitter & that Lennon is canny enough not to tell every man & his dog exactly how much he has to spend before he makes his bid.
