jagermoot Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Always hear about how important the spine of a team is and usually a team is build around leaders or a leader. Lets play manager for a bit. Who would you buold the team around or which players should make the spine of our team? Instead of playing anyone who can lace their own boots at left back and right back, can 3 at the back work and who should play where? Quote

jagermoot Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Good team. It looks solid on paper. Quote
jagermoot Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Could 3 at the back work with wheater, dervite and prince/derek if one of the seniors got their shit together and organised them? Quote

Site Supporter only1swanny Posted November 8, 2015 Site Supporter Posted November 8, 2015 With Medo, Davies, Pratley, Danns, Feeney, Spearing and Vela as CM to choose from, we shouldn't really have any issues in midfield. But when you look at the squad a whole, its very weak Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Amos Vela Wheater Dervite Casado Danns Spearing Pratley Davies Clayton Madine (assuming that Dervite isn't injured) See. I don't rate Dervite. I'd rather have Prince in that position. Other than that, that's the team I'd go with. Quote
jules_darby Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 See. I don't rate Dervite. I'd rather have Prince in that position. Other than that, that's the team I'd go with. Same problems as the last 2 home games of no width as the formation is pretty much the same Full backs will get hammered again Quote

EyesRight Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Amos Wilson Prince Wheater Moxey Spearing Pratley Feeney Davies Clayton Madine This!! Anyone suggest a diamond midfield clearly didn't watch the match yesterday. We need width and cover for our full backs. Quote
Members burnden Posted November 8, 2015 Members Posted November 8, 2015 Amos Wilson Prince Wheater Moxey Spearing Pratley Feeney Davies Clayton Madine That is what i would go with but ameobi instead of madine Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 One problem we have is Pratley isn't right choice for captain. Now Spearing's back in the side I'd give it him. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) I'd like to see Amoebi play in behind Madine he looked our most creative player yesterday might be hard to fit that into a formation though. Edited November 8, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote

Moderators Casino Posted November 8, 2015 Moderators Posted November 8, 2015 anything with two up top means we'll get battered away or against a decent team at home and expecting clayton to protect the full back is optimistic vela gets ripped to bits by a pacey winger but he might still be the best we have so, if we're going for a one size fits all amos wilson or vela, prince wheater moxey feeney davies spearing pratley clayton ameobi Quote
RoadRunnerFan Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Can you politically remove a captaincy? "Hi Darren please can we have a word in my office........ Obviously things haven't been going well for the team as a whole this season and as a management team we have to look at all the options to put things right. Clearly, given the finances, most of those options involve working differently with the resources we already have. We really value your contribution to the team but feel that you have struggled to hit the form you did last year. We'd like to give big Dave the armband in the hope that things improve for the team as a whole and you personally." My guess would be the above, but it is quite rare I suppose Swanny. Dougie seemed to switch it around a fair bit but that aint exactly a glowing recommendation. Quote
