Site Supporter Spider Posted November 8, 2022 Site Supporter Posted November 8, 2022 So if the reds do well in the mid terms, will Trump accept the vote as legit? Or will he once again claim it’s rigged? Quote

Ani Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 2 points Apparently the markets are happy when the houses and president are split, because it stops either side making 'silly' decisions The results of the Republican in Florida will hopefully show how well they can do without Trump sticking his wig in so might be a good thing. Currently storming ahead with >80% of the votes after 42% of the count. Although she's talked about retiring early after what happened to her husband last week. Quote

Not in Crawley Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 I have to ask again - where are The Visionaries? The Don Quixote's? Its very disappointing that they'd abandon their posts at signs of trouble ahead. Quote

Sweep Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 He's already made a bit of a song and dance about a "big announcement" next week, which everybody believes means he's going to confirm that he's running again. From what I've seen on the news, he might not even get the nomination.....I'm not sure his ego could take that I hope he does run though, as he's good entertainment, if nothing else Quote

Or something like that? Completely wrong. Looks like the Republicans will take the House meaning the speaker will be a Republican. Exit Pelosi as speaker and it's job done. Hopefully the obnoxious bitch fucks off completely after the inside job on her husband. Much as I would have enjoyed the return of The Don solely for the schadenfreude involved in the anguish to some people I have an 'irrational hatred' of (according to some of the illuminati on here), a better bet for the Republicans to increase the apparent 50% of the country who back them would be to have De Santis (De Sanctimonious?) lead the fight. Trump endorsed candidates not doing as well as he would have liked may be a blessing in disguise. Besides his stunning missus, this De Santis seems to have plenty going for him. His quote "Florida is where woke comes to die" will be the most memorable for me from these mid terms. Clooney will obviously be 'upset' if and when the GOP take control of one (or still possibly both) of the houses. Not sure if it is possible to become even more of a lame duck than Biden already is but neutering the Democrats and all they want to push through will be a crushing blow to Nancy and her associates. Plenty in play for a while yet. Quote

Plenty in play for a while yet. DeSantis does look to be a far better proposition than Trump - even a blind man can see that. I know you liked it, but I thought his whole "anti woke" speech was a bit over the top, but then I guess he's saying what they want to hear. I believe that if Trump wants to run off against him, he'll get obliterated. DeSantis is very polished and probably far more savvy politically. And you're right, his Mrs is very tasty, she's no Angela Rayner though 😉 Quote
