To dismiss Trump as stupid is dangerous.

Hopefully Republicans can see that a slightly more moderate leader will give them massively more chances of winning next time around. Everyone who currently votes for Trump won't switch to Democrat overnight. I can see a deal. Trump 'I won't stand, I will endorse you and in return XXX goes away.'

Also the election results over there seem to have been skewed by the abortion issue. The Republicans can clean their house pretty quickly if Trump is not there.

100% agree on all points.

Beau on a roll today

The most successful midterms for any administration in 2 decades.

Trump and religious nutjobs fucked it for the Reps

Surprised that Biden has done so well in the mid terms and kept control of the Senate after winning Nevada.

Had to laugh at Trump who typically said "if we do well it's down to me - but if we don't it's not my fault"

Maybe now he'll just f*** off and die - but somehow I doubt it.

I hope he sticks around, his brand is toxic

These mid terms probably the end of him as a political force. Get the Florida lad in and fuck these lefties off in 2024.

Biden thinking of running again which I reckon is a mistake - he's interpreting a vote for policies and democracy as an endorsement for him personally, whereas many Democrats sort of assumed he'd step aside at the end of his term.

I am not sure running again is a good idea either.

Biden has done more than enough by burying Trump.

I couldn’t give a fuck who gets in next, I really couldn’t.

Got to watch that nutjob in Florida. He's not wired right, either.

I think you will be in for a bigger shock if (when) This Ron De Santis takes over.

Remember how the “anyone but Boris” approach worked.

I’ll leave that to you.

As a part time visionary, I only knew trump would be wank. Haven’t read up on this bloke so can’t comment yet

aye

I couldn't give a fuck before Trump either

democrat or republic, couldn't care less, Bush seemed ok if a little dim, don't remember much about his dad or Regan

Obama seemed ok and Clinton got sucked off at work, not sure if that's a good or bad thing (but we'd all do it right?)

neither here nor there about who comes in next

Trump was about more than just politics and took it to a global scale

now it's back to being "boring" over there and just generally shaking your head in disbelif that they still want to ban abortions and not guns

Trump ally Kari Lake loses in Arizona.  She's now claiming some votes for her might not have been counted.  It's like a daft cult.  Win the vote its all gravy, lose the vote then the others must have cheated.

Kari Lake's only "policy" was that the 2020 election was fixed and as such was in effect the litmus test of Trump - which the mid terms have clearly stymied. She offered nothing else and now she's f****d.

De Santis is a media savvy Trump lite - same shit but presented gift wrapped. Very dangerous man.

Republicans have gone full pelt into a loony, conspiracy nut phase. Dangerous times, hopefully they stay out of power as their plans on the voting age and abortion rights are verging on authoritarian.

mind boggles that some folk on here can’t see the difference between Biden and Trump.

Problem is they still think Trump was bettererer

Who? From what I have read, almost everyone agrees that Trump is a nutjob (however entertaining it is to see some odious fuckers frothing at the mouth at the very mention of his name). Equally, I think everyone sees that Biden is a geriatric husk who struggles even to count. Therefore the two have very obvious differences wouldn't you say?

As long as the House in taken and that repulsive witch has less of a platform, the mid terms will have been good enough, red wave or otherwise.

Reckon one of Trumps policies will be to pull support from Ukraine and leave NATO?

Yeh but as long as the evil witch gets sorted a nuclear holocaust in Europe will be well worth it.

You don't need to scroll back too far to see some posters claiming that Biden isn't any better. Focusing on the economy as evidence with no acknowledgement of Trumps's insane climate policy and drive to discredit democracy.
