Yesterday it was reported there had been another assassination attempt.  
 

Turns out just the local nutter who is far right Trump supporter who also rejects all Govt so his guns and cars were not registered .

So after turning up at a rally with unregistered guns, unlicensed car and with multiple passports and identities in his car he was released immediately. Local police described him as a lunatic. 
 

Maybe hold the guy for a couple of days and take his guns off him ?

As I'm a bit bored, I've spent the last hour flicking between FOX and CNN - it's incredible it really is, both sides equally ridiculous in their support for one and disdain for the other. I think FOX is winning at the minute for most bonkers people though, they've just interviewed somebody who reckons that the Biden administration created the recent hurricane (by cloud seeding) to try and supress Trump support.

Oddly, none of them are commenting much on this assassination attempt, other than to say the bloke has been bailed for $5000, so clearly they're not that fussed about him

Youn need to listen to this regarding FOX - facinating. Certainly its not the story I thought it was. Episode three about the battle between CNN and FOX as the networks duked it out really is an eye-opener.

That’s just not true though. I’m no fan of Trump, that is clear as day. But there are various legitimate reasons why people would vote for him even if they think/know he is a cock.

Hardline religious types like the anti-abortion stance that is more pronounced in Republicans.

Gun fanatics would view Republican messaging on guns similarly.

Wealthy individuals or those who own businesses may back him because they think he would stand up more for wealth generation and less tax (fancy a bigger house and new car?).

Those with a genuine fear (whether legitimate or misguided) of mass immigration want to see the wall and the deportation of illegal immigrants.

A businessman fearful his output could be hit my foreign exports will vote for Trump because he claims he’ll add tariffs to imports. That could be the difference between a business someone has built their whole life surviving or not.

Sure, there are racists, misogynists and fucktards who also love his divisive and worrying policies and vote for that. But that’s not 50%. Far from it.

For many, better the devil who’s on your side than the devil who isn’t.

It is an indisputable fact that people who voted brexit were older then the population age average and came from lower socio-economic backgrounds with lower levels of educational attainment. Being racist has nothing to do with it but it does lead to less access to higher salaries and immigration directly impacting on certain types of employment which leads to....

Same with Trump voters in America. Lower levels of educational achievement, an inability to skill swap easily, not as much access to the international labour markets.

Its not everyone, but overall those are the core voter bases.
