Second bit maybe, first bit no. Released the shackles, just needs the right leader to take real advantage of it.

Reading about the city of London the other day. Went from under-regulated to over-regulated.

She wants more investment here, a good thing clearly, but the shackles need to be removed from them.

Maybe - I'm not quite sure what that leader would look like though. But they're sorely needed that's for sure.

I'd love to know what these newly found freedoms are and what they are actually going to deliver.

I believe that @PatrickBatemanis currently putting together a list. You'll soon find out

Amazing how after about 40 years of cutting regulations, emboldening the free market and allowing unfettered growth of massive global corporations, many of whom have more power than national governments in reality - and all the impacts that has had, people still think the answer is just ‘more of the same’.

Im not sure how cutting regulations will stop most of the money ending up in the top 1%’s pockets or how low tax regimes will fix the shareholders continually demanding increased profit at expense of everything and everyone else.

It’s pretty clear to me that these are not the answers to any of the questions people are asking. Yet they keep getting trotted out.

More likely Patrick Bateman will reach the conclusion that casting pearls before swine is an exercise in futility - especially when the swine would vote for a swine if it wore a red rosette.

Picture a knockabout bloke with a sense of humour, a pint in his hand, smartly dressed and capable of securing the greatest trade deal in the history of the UK.

There must be one somewhere :rolleyes2:

The man wears red trousers 😁

I know. He also has that orange warrior jacket. I worry about L/H White these days.

I have taken to Trumpisms... I think they're great.

Been away this week picking up the loose ends on an overseas job... I was sat in a meeting with some Dutch and Germans and I tried it on... I told them with a straight face we have built a big beautiful wall and when they asked me about the doors I told them you guys now have wonderful doors like they couldn't believe 😁

The fkkrs didn't get it... my mucker was giggling like he was going to explode and my MD was kicking my shins under the table... it was all written down in the minutes and we got our money out 😁

If you want your customers to think your MD is your carer, definitely.

Still think Trumpisms are the next big thing... I'm going to order a power tool on Monday morning... I'll be telling Mr Speedy Hire I'm going to drill baby drill 😀 I don't really want one but it's got to be done

He's played a blinder with tik tok ban

All planned I'm sure

But he's now a hero to every one who uses tik tok

Should also be noted he was the one who wanted it banned in the first place

And credit to him if he does

Sometimes it's necessary to play hardball, especially on matters of national security

Displaying way too much common sense Aldo but have a 'like' anyway.

Trying to think of a sentence involving 'coffee', 'smell' and 'waking' (I said 'waking').

Next to catch on will be a global war on paper straws following his EO yesterday.  Didn’t realise they posed such a safety risk tbh.  I guess I must have got lucky that one hasn’t blown up on me yet💥

"These things don't work, I've had them many times, and on occasion, they break, they explode. If something's hot, they don't last very long, like a matter of minutes, sometimes a matter of seconds. It's a ridiculous situation," Trump said.
