Casino Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Seems we may have some fight in us Beat Rotherham and I'm going 44 points to stay up It's probably low historically but looking at the table that's my call It's definitely doable Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I don't think that will be undoable. If we push out of the bottom 3 in the next week or two, the relief will be a huge boost. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Let's just take one game at a time. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Just get the new owner in soon as possible, and that works be a double boost. Quote
Cheese Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 How many points are we off the play-offs? Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I've done a tally up and absolute best case scenario I can see 44 points with wins against.... Rotherham QPR Ipswich PNE Bristol (a) Reading Charlton With a couple more points needed from the rest Have we got those 7 wins in us though Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 We have only won 3 all season Let's just fucking give up now then, shall we? FFS. Quote
HomerJay Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 We have only won 3 all season christ youre depressing. Quote
Traf Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 christ youre depressing. But factually correct. We'd all love to find 7 wins from the last 17 (?) games, but it's not unreasonable to doubt it will happen, having won three in 29 (?) so far. I can't see us getting 44 points, but I can see a team staying up with 40, as everyone beats everyone else. Can we get 40? It's more realistic, if nothing else and we'll never know unless we go for it. COYFWM Quote
Breightmet Boy Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 The squad all know they're in this battle together now the transfer windows shut, only they can get out of it with spirit and respecting each other. The better of the players everyone were scared of losing are still here and obviously not forced out of the club for financial reasons, thus boosting confidence of actually getting paid too. BWFC will get the new owners this month and the good ship Bolton Wanderers will sail on up and out of the bottom three in the next few weeks, coming from two goals behind at Wolves has started the resurgence, I'm confident of it. Biggish Dave Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 We're going to have to win a couple of away games to stay up because we won't win enough at home imo. We've been poor all season but still in with a realistic chance of staying up which I find incredible with 3 wins and in February. Thankfully, Charlton, MK Dons, Rotherham and Bristol City must also be very poor. As long as we give it a good go, that's all we can ask Quote
jules_darby Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 FWIW I can imagine 43 or even 42 being the magic number this year Quote
tarian1979 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 We wont get enough away pts. Will say 12-13 at home 3-5 away. Ta ta 38 or so Quote
Ani Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I know it is old hat, but one game at a time, we must win Saturday. Nothing else matters. Remember if Wolves are the 12th best team in the division teams will start to pick points up in unexpected games. It is the hope that kills you. Quote
Horwich Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 We have only won 3 all season This. Dont get your hopes up lads. We are going down Quote
Cheese Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 This. Dont get your hopes up lads. We are going down Imagine if the players had thought like that at 2-0 down last night. Quote
MalcolmW Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Seems we may have some fight in us Beat Rotherham and I'm going 44 points to stay up It's probably low historically but looking at the table that's my call It's definitely doable I agree that the threshold will be lower than usual, and that a win against Rotherham can be a big boost. There are seven clubs in the mix. We are bottom but by no means adrift. Quote
radcliffe white Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Let's just see.... I look at the fixtures and think yeah why not some winnable games However stats don't lie and the way the fixtures fall against the top teams don't look good. Without being dramatic Saturday for me is last chance saloon especially with the tough fixtures at the end of this month Quote

Year after year teams closing in on promotion do falter. Players get giddy about reaching the Prem, and this year the potential riches will be greater than ever. So I would Charlton at home being as difficult or easy as Boro or Hull. Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 We won't get 44 points. 17 games to go. 9 out of the top 10 to play, 5 of those at home, against 5 of the top 6. 8 games to get 23 points! Even if we averaged 2 points a game from those 8, we'd need to find 7 points from 9 of the top 10 teams. We need a miracle. Or, 3 out of Brizzle, MK, Rotherham, Charlton to go on a worse run than us.
