Smiley Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Fook me. Totally addicted to cooking these days. Favourite hobby at the min. Currently running through Joe Wicks "Lean in 15" book. Some good stuff in there. Who'd have thunk cooking could be so much fun and food so tasty! Quote
Blondi Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I love cooking! I even make my own Yorkshire puddings and I make a great curry from scratch! Quote

SatanGreavsie Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Just lump whatever you want into a slow cooker and fuck off. Job done when you get back. Quote

Sweep Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 something you pay someone to do for you. In all fairness, that is the correct answer. Don't most folks hire a cleaner & ironer these days? Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) It used to take me around half an hour to do the entire house top to bottom of a Saturday morning, much like anyone who's wise to the job, women stretch things out to makes themselves look more industrious... Takes me around five minutes now the rest of the house is a bombsite/renovation area, there's only the bathroom and my cubby hole bedroom/living room to do. When I was 20 I used to see a girl who's mam and dad had a team of cleaners come round twice a week, they'd sit around with the patio windows open smoking and sipping coffee for an hour and forty minutes then spend about ten minutes cleaning etc. before another quick coffee/fag break and away...Waste of money and a pisstake They used to spray the radiators with furniture polish an' all, to make it seem like they'd done a proper job dusting (rather than simply giving everything a quick once over with the same damp cloth they'd done the bathroom and kitchen with - kitchen first, I'll give 'em that). Oh aye, regarding cooking, if you've spice in the cupboard older than a couple of months, chuck 'em. Youri - Domestic Goddess. Edited February 4, 2016 by Youri McAnespie Quote
Site Supporter Spider Posted February 4, 2016 Site Supporter Posted February 4, 2016 Bought a massive neck of pork from Greeleys this morning Chucked it in the slow cooker with various Cajun spices and that 6pm, voila, melt in the mouth pork and Galician beer. 2 for £10 is why the NHS is on its knees Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 4, 2016 Site Supporter Posted February 4, 2016 Couple this thread with the criticisms of the Macron grub, and perhaps we should open Wanderersways Curry Kiosk. Quote
Andydee Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Didn't we have some Indian type food at one time or is my memory playing up again? Slow cooker's been on here since 9:00 this morning as well, cubed beef, veg, herbs etc served in a large yorkshire pudding.....melts in the mouth. Really gets my goat (which is very good curried in a slow cooker) when people say they can't afford to eat healthy food......it's either because they haven't got a clue what healthy food is or can't be arsed putting in 10-20 mins of effort as it's easier to send the kids out for a takeaway. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 4, 2016 Site Supporter Posted February 4, 2016 Can't remember that. Perhaps is was just a football player with a name that sounded like Indian grub. Quote
