deane koontz
Holdsworth is having contract negotiations with himself as we speak. He'll officially be our manager on Wednesday. ITK
Blondi
From what I heard this weekend, it's going to be Reid's gig.Was he/she a season ticket holder though?
bwfcfan5
Not a surprise if Reid gets it but a bit weird to make him manager when he's come in as assistant. Can't see us paying for a manager in another job, so someone out of work or someone already here.
jturner
From what I heard this weekend, it's going to be Reid's gig. Of the realistic options (ie not Sam ) Peter Reid would be my number one choice. He did a fine job at Sunderland back in the day when given decent resources. He won't get the resources at Bolton but he has shown in his management career that he can organise a team. His best work at Man City and Sunderland was playing the long ball game, no problem with that. bwfcfan5
The trouble with Reid is he worked best with a group of experienced players. Not sure bringing through younger players is his thing really. Good bloke though but I think we need someone a bit younger with new ideas and energy than Reid.
Blondi
Reid has been out of the game for too long. I don't want an inexperienced manager like Stubbs either.Steve Cotterill has the necessary experience and he won't cost a bean. Site Supporter superjohnmcginlay Posted May 9, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted May 9, 2016 Reids stats form his last three English vacancies are all very poor Plymouth and Leeds both poor, Coventry was ok, but still not what we need at all, Rosler - No Stubbs - No Fucked if i know, I wanted Wilder
mickbrown
I'm also leaning towards Cotterill. Been down in this shit league before and knows how to get out of it.

Compo
Holdsworth is having contract negotiations with himself as we speak. He'll officially be our manager on Wednesday. ITK Heard similar (albeit not on Wednesday), apparently the rumour within the club. But was also told he's been staying away with 'chest pains'. gonzo
Cotterill for me Best odds for him are 12/1 so there's no chance. Your average punter won't be putting random bets on boltons next manager either. It's a bent market imo. Folk are putting on rosler for a reason. Deciding if I want rosler or Reid is like deciding what if I want to walk barefooted on lego or an upturned plug. Is money actually going on Rosler though? I'd imagine no one can be arsed sticking more than a tenner on our next boss.

Just find it strange he's been firm favourite for ages now. Odds are only set on who folk are betting on. And in this market someone will know something. Remember freedman going from 33/1 to evens in about 3 minutes, even though his name had never even been touted at all.

Tbh, I'm constantly looking on Oddschecker, just hoping a half decent manager will suddenly appear and he'll be our next boss. It scares the shit out of me when I see Holdsworth's odds and Stubbs's odds are much lower than a proven league manager like a Cotterill, or someone similar.
